• Twenty stories will get the amount of CZK 1,005,700

  • The target amount was collected in less than two weeks and 400 employees took part

Prague, January 5, 2020 – Since 2013, T-Mobile has been regularly organizing fundraising campaign “Supporting Stories” before Christmas. It supports persons close to employees who most often find themselves in a difficult life situation due to a tragic event, illness or accident. So far, the last year has raised total amount of CZK 1,005,700, which will be donated to 20 stories. Half of the amount was donated by employees, the other was added by T-Mobile. Once again, we managed to collect the entire amount that the nominated stories applied for. For example, financial gift will help a young family who lost father after traffic accident or a blind single mother who got cancer.

Employees apply their family members, friends and acquaintances to the project, whom they want to help financially. The stories are registered in a special collection application, through which money is subsequently collected. T-Mobile doubles all donations. Almost 400 employees took part in the eighth year, and less than two weeks were enough to collect the target amount.

“The year 2020 was extremely difficult and challenging for all of us. T-Mobile, together with its employees, has tried to help throughout the year, in many places. I am very happy that even at the end of it, our people were not indifferent to what was happening around them, and they registered the stories and contributed to the collection,” says Petr Jonák, manager of corporate and external affairs at T-Mobile.

More than a million crowns will be given to 20 stories. The aid goes to several children who are suffering the consequences of serious injuries, to a young man who suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or to the two young children’s mother who is recovering from a stroke.
