Internet bez drátu: Household coverage with speeds of up to 20 Mbps

T-Mobile will launch a campaign focused on the Internet bez drátu (“Wireless Internet”) tariff plan, which works with the LTE and 3G networks.

All devices in a household can be connected
Easy installation – all that is needed is to plug the modem in
Thirty-day satisfaction guarantee

On 1 May 2015, T-Mobile will launch a campaign focused on the Internet bez drátu (“Wireless Internet”) tariff plan, which works with the LTE and 3G networks. This is an improvement of the conditions and parameters of the existing Pevný internet bez drátu (“Wireless Fixed-Line Internet”) solution: the operator will increase the maximum transmission speed from 8 Mbps to 20 Mbps, cancel the one-place-only condition and will add a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. The price of the tariff plan remains unchanged at CZK 399/month; the modem can be purchased for the subsidised price of CZK 2,301 until 30 June. According to the Czech Telecommunications Office, T-Mobile now covers 95% of the population of the Czech Republic with the LTE and 3G fast mobile networks.

“A number of customers are not happy with their home internet solution, although nearly nine out of ten Czech households are covered with our high-speed mobile networks,” says Tomáš Ryšavý, Vice President Residential Segment at T-Mobile, adding: “With the Internet bez drátu plan, customers only need to easily plug the modem in and the whole family can connect to the high-speed Wi-Fi network with their handsets, tablets, notebooks or PCs.”

The price of the tariff plan remains unchanged and is CZK 399 per month. From 1 May to 30 June 2015, the Huawei E5180 modem can be purchased for the subsidised price of CZK 2,301 (or in 23 monthly instalments of CZK 100 with a down-payment of CZK 1) when customers sign a two-year contract. Otherwise the standard price of the modem is CZK 3,451.

The Internet bez drátu tariff plan will offer 2.5 times higher maximum download and upload speeds than were previously available – 20 Mbps and 5 Mbps, respectively. The data limit remains 30 GB; when exceeding the limit, customers can continue browsing the web, using e-mail services and checking Facebook without any speed limitation.

Customers can use the Wi-Fi network, to which up to 32 devices can be connected at a time, at home during the week and at their cottages, for example, over the weekend, as the operator has cancelled the one-place-only condition. Another new positive innovation is the 30-day satisfaction guarantee – if customers are not happy with the service, they can cancel it and return the modem within 30 days following activation of the tariff plan (if the conditions relevant to the satisfaction guarantee are met).
