Kaktus has nearly 100,000 customers; they can now call for free among themselves

Kaktus has prepared for its customers a new reward for credit top-up: one month of unlimited free calls between Kaktus users. The brand had a successful 2015, when the number of its customers rose to nearly 100,000. Kaktus began using on-line media, mainly Facebook, as the primary channel for communication with its customers. The brand was also among the first in the Czech Republic to establish cooperation with popular Czech YouTubers.

Kaktus has prepared an attractive reward for its nearly 100,000 users (who represent a roughly 10% share in the 15-24 age group) – upon every credit top-up with a minimum of CZK 200, the Mezi námi (“Between Us”) unlimited calling benefit will automatically be activated. This benefit allows Kaktus customers to call within the Kaktus community free of charge for 30 days.

A pillow fight was organised in October 2015 as part of the collaboration between the brand and YouTubers, which was established last year. During the event, Kaktus fans and YouTubers met to celebrate the second anniversary of the brand and to beat the Czech record in the number of participants in a pillow fight (which they succeeded in doing). Kaktus will further develop this collaboration in 2016.

Data services accounted for 45% of the operator’s total revenues last year, of which a 32% share and a 23% share was attributable to calls and text messages, respectively. Kaktus is targeted primarily at the young online generation in the 15-24 age group, among which it has long been the second best-known brand among virtual operators, surveys reveal.
