T-Mobile announces changes

With effect from 1 August 2015, the operator will amend the prices of certain auxiliary services that to date have been either provided free of charge or remained unchanged since 2008. With two of the services, customers will still have the opportunity to select the free variant. Customers affected by the changes will be informed in advance via the relevant communication channels – the operator will use the info text in the printed form of Statements of Services and text messages, and will also publish the information in the August price list and at www.t-mobile.cz/zmeny.

The first change is the fee for printed invoices: the service will newly cost CZK 29 incl. VAT (the current price is CZK 19.15). Customers can continue to use the fast and eco-friendly electronic Statement of Services, which also meets the requirements of tax authorities, does not take several days to be delivered and is available completely free of charge. Customers using electronic Statements of Services can additionally save up to CZK 77 on the Itemised List of Services. Customers who are entitled to terminate their contracts early due to such change will be informed via the relevant channels.

Another change consists in an increase of the fee for the Express Payment service comprising payment of Statements of Services at T-Mobile and partner shops. The fee for this service has not changed in the past seven years. The service is used mostly by customers who forget to pay for the purchased services by the payment due date – the amount of their outstanding debt is settled by the operator on their account in six hours. The fee for this service has been CZK 85 since its introduction in 2008; it will now be CZK 99 incl. VAT. Customers can use six other methods for payment of invoices, which are provided by the operator free of charge (on-line payment by bank card, direct debit, payment using the QR code from the mobile banking application offered by selected banks, bank transfer, postal money order and bank deposit – an overview of the various payment methods is available here).

The last change involves the introduction of a fee for SIM-card replacement. Previously available free of charge, this service will now will be charged at CZK 99 incl. VAT. The fee will not be applied to defective SIM cards or replacement of the oldest types of SIM cards for those supporting LTE, which will continue to be offered free of charge.

More information on all changes is available at www.t-mobile.cz/zmeny and for LE customers here.
