T-Mobile Fund will distribute CZK 2 million again

  • Organisations have a chance to win up to CZK 100,000 for their projects
  • Organisations from the Hradec Králové region and from the Louny district can apply

Prague, 30 July 2012 – T-Mobile will support non-profit organisations from regions where its Customer Centres are located again this year, which marks the eighth time that CZK 2 million is being distributed for community projects in the Hradec Králové region and in the Louny district. As in past years, the maximum grant amount is CZK 100,000 per project. Organisations can send their applications starting today; the closing date for applications is 7 September 2012.

“Very interesting projects aimed at strengthening community life and improving the environment are registered every year. The project proposals improve from year to year and there is always something worth supporting,” says Petra Pavičová, T-Mobile’s Corporate Social Responsibility Manager.

The key criterion for awarding a grant is improvement of the quality of life and support for community life in the locations where T-Mobile has its operations. Support will therefore be provided to projects initiated by local residents in response to current needs in the respective localities and encouraging others to also play an active part in the project itself or in the community. Thus consideration will be given to environmental programs, minor monument restoration projects, projects focusing on improvement of the local surroundings, nature conservation, and support for various cultural events strengthening integration, social involvement and development of relationships among all age groups.

Projects must be implemented in the period from 1 December 2012 to 30 November 2013.

T-Mobile has been providing support for the regions for a number of years, as the company considers this endeavour to be of great importance. Since the T-Mobile Fund was established in 2005, 678 projects have been supported with the total amount of CZK 42.6 million.

More information on the conditions of the T-Mobile Fund and on support opportunities will be provided at a consultation taking place on 15 August 2012 at T-Mobile’s offices in Hradec Králové and on 16 August at T-Mobile’s offices in Louny.
