Prague, 28 January 2009 - Customers who are interested in the revolutionary T-Mobile G1 will be able to buy the device in the Czech Republic in just two days. The official launch of the first device based on the Android platform in the Czech Republic will take place at the T-Mobile shop on Národní třída in Prague on Friday, 30 January. Starting Saturday, the T-Mobile G1 will also be available in other shops throughout the Czech Republic.
"The T-Mobile G1 is a revolutionary device in many ways. We are very glad that we can be the first and only operator to offer it to Czech customers," says Petr Dvořák, Executive Vice President Marketing at T‑Mobile.
The exclusive launch of the T-Mobile G1 in the Czech Republic will take place at the T-Mobile shop on Národní třída on Friday, 30 January, at 10:00 a.m. All visitors will be able to see a practical demonstration of the almost unlimited possibilities offered by the new device and also enter a drawing to win one. All they have to do is answer a simple question and keep their fingers crossed. At 11:30, Petr Dvořák will hand over the eagerly awaited phone to the lucky winner. The competition is open to everyone who comes to the shop.
The T-Mobile G1, a device perfectly designed for convenient use of all functions offered by the internet, will be offered at prices starting at CZK 1. The basic price of the unsubsidized phone is CZK 9,999 incl. VAT. Within a Twist set, it can be purchased for CZK 10,149, including an initial credit of CZK 250.
