T-MOBILE: NEW TARIFFS FOR STUDENTS WITHOUT COMMITMENT

  • T-Mobile will add 1GB free of charge to student tariffs
  • 100 minutes, 100 SMS and 7GB of data for CZK 425
  • Free tariffs without commitment
  • Students can choose from several tariff options

Prague, January 23, 2020 - T-Mobile has great news not only for students. As of Wednesday, January 29, it is introducing a new offer for young customers between 6 and 27 years of age, giving them the opportunity to set up a custom tariff. The operator gives young customers possibility to customize mobile services according to their needs, just as it offers the new generation of tariffs launched on 1 September 2019.

In Můj Student (My Student) tariffs, the customer now receives 7GB or 17GB of data. For those who took advantage of the Student and Student DATA tariff enhancements last November, this means a free 1GB data increase. The new offer is for an indefinite period of time, so there is no need to contract for 24 months. On the other hand, a student advantage in the form of preferential data is guaranteed by T-Mobile exactly for 2 years.

Starting on January 29, customers will receive 7GB of data for CZK 425 per month with the My Student tariffs. In addition, 100 minutes to all networks and 100 SMS. Or they can choose 17GB. This corresponds to the average data consumption in unlimited data rates. A large portion of data, 100 SMS and 100 minutes cost CZK 575 per month. Customers can combine these data volumes with minutes and text messages ranging from 100 + 100 to unlimited calls and SMS.

Existing customers can switch to the new plan terms free of charge from the same date.

"Sufficient data and a sense of freedom are crucial for our young customers. This is one of the reasons why we have again decided to improve the conditions of our student tariffs," says Michal Podlucký, Head of Resident Customer Segment Management at T-Mobile, adding: "Existing customers can decide whether to switch to new conditions. As with the new generation of tariffs, young customers can also choose the amount of free minutes, SMS and data volumes. And if they don't like the tariff, they can simply change it."

Starting on January 29, 2020, new youth tariffs can be purchased in all standard sales channels, in the My T-Mobile application or on the special website www.t-mobile.cz/student. Both tariffs meet the conditions for inclusion in the Magenta 1 family solution, which enables customers to enjoy even more advantageous prices.

In order to conclude a contract with students, it is sufficient to present a document proving that the user has not yet celebrated his 27th birthday (the operator does not require an ISIC card). In the case of customers younger than 18, the contract can be concluded by their legal guardian after having submitted the child’s birth certificate or another document proving the child’s age and identification.
