T-MOBILE OFFERS HBO GO FOR 30 DAYS FOR FREE, THEN FOR A DISCOUNTED PRICE

Prague, April 20, 2020 – T-Mobile has a special offer for its postpaid customers. If they purchase the HBO GO package from the largest domestic mobile operator they will get it for the first 30 days for free. Then customers can cancel the subscription or continue for a special discounted price. All they need to do is to activate the package from April 20 to May 31. The offer is valid for households and small businesses. Everyone can enjoy movie blockbusters and series in the comfort and safety of home.

People have been spending more and more time in front of TV screens watching not only news. For example, viewership of T-Mobile television has increased during state of emergency by 17% compared to the period before coronavirus infection. However, T-Mobile registered also increased by 10% for non-linear broadcasting. “People want to decide what to watch and when. That is why we have expanded our portfolio of TV services to include HBO GO,” says Zdeněk Spurný, T-Mobile Home Services Manager, adding: “The breadth of HBO's offerings in terms of content with Czech dubbing is among the best on the domestic market and we want to offer it at an extremely attractive price to our contract customers, especially when they spend much more time at home.”

Only with T-Mobile customers with a voice tariff (households and small businesses) will receive HBO GO completely free of charge for the first 30 days. The only thing they have to do is to activate HBO GO from April 20 to May 31. After the end of the free period they will be able to use it for a special price – more about t-mobile.cz/hbogo.

The users can activate HBO GO in three easy steps. They can simply activate a package full of great movies, series and documents after logging in to My T-Mobile self-service, whether on the web or the mobile application. They will immediately receive a customer number and can register their account on the HBO GO site within approximately 60 minutes. If a customer has previously used HBO GO, they can use the same e-mail address, no new e-mail address is required. T-Mobile will notify its customers via SMS or e-mail of the upcoming end of the 30day free period. Each user can then decide whether to continue watching HBO GO or to deactivate the package. The subscription amount will be included in monthly invoice.

Premium video rental HBO GO offers the biggest series of hits and movie blockbusters. Fans of WestWorld, Games of Thrones, Big Little Lies, Head Over Heels, The Handmaid’s Tale, True Detective will gladly confirm. In total, more than 7,500 episodes of series, not only from abroad, and more than 800 films, documentaries and children's programs are available for viewers. Everything is in Czech language and the offer is continually enriched with other new series and movies. There are also bonus programs from the original HBO production.

Advertising campaign

T-Mobile will support this great offer in the second quarter with its historically first marketing campaign, which was created “remotely”. First, on-line part will start on April 20, followed by TV spots on April 24. The campaign uses the most popular titles of HBO GO in a creative way.

The media mix includes online video spots on YouTube, posts on social networks, radio advertising and spots on Spotify or at podcasts from Burda publishing house and Denik N. The campaign will run until the end of May.

Creative processing of ATL and online videos was handled by Saatchi & Saatchi agency, online part is made by Proboston Creative agency. Planning and purchase of advertising space was provided by MediaCom Prague.
