Prague, 19 March 2014 – Following its merger with T-Systems, T-Mobile has extended its offer of solutions for business customers, particularly those in the ICT area intended for corporate customers and public administration. It has thus become a full-fledged integrated operator. This year, the company will focus primarily on data centre and virtual data centre services, software leasing, cloud-based applications and car-fleet monitoring.

Together with T-Systems, the operator also acquired the Vyšehrad data centre located in Prague’s Congress Centre. It also is also starting to offer services of data centres that it had previously used only for its own needs. All data centres meet the highest physical and data security standards, are air-conditioned and equipped with fire-safety systems and power back-up sources. At the data centres, clients can lease space for their own servers (housing) or lease servers directly (hosting).

In the field of cloud computing, the operator will continue offering virtual data centre services, allowing customers to lease certain computing capacity. T-Mobile’s portfolio of services will newly include the Software as a Service (SaaS) solution within which customers use cloud-based programs and applications, setting up and changing the number of licences depending on their current needs. The service will be launched this summer and will be the first to offer the Microsoft Office 365 software.

“This year, we want to focus on, among other things, development of ICT services and mainly on cloud-based solutions,” says Miloš Mastník, Vice President Business Marketing at T-Mobile, adding: “We are able to guarantee higher-level security of customers’ data, including data transmission, than if customers administered data by themselves. Moreover, the use of cloud-based services offers greater convenience and saves customers IT operating costs.”

After implementing a number of partnership solutions in the area of M2M (machine-to-machine communication), the operator will launch a car-fleet monitoring service under its own T-Mobile Autopark ("T-Mobile Car Fleet") brand on 1 April 2014. The service makes it possible to track the movements of cars in real time, evaluate the course of individual journeys and generate various outputs. The service uses the GPS system to track the location and speed of cars. It also features a web portal that allows customers to monitor their car fleets on a clearly arranged display. A total of 270,000 SIM cards are currently in use in connection with the plans available within the T-Mobile partnership solutions.
