All customers need to do is hand in an old phone or tablet at a T-Mobile shop in the Czech Republic
The promo offer starts on 1 November and is valid while supplies last
Old devices will be disposed of ecologically so as not to cause an environmental burden
Visits to any T-Mobile shop or partner shop will pay off twice in the coming days: everybody that brings an old mobile phone or tablet and hands it in will receive a new 2600 mAh power bank as a present. The special offer starts on 1 November, is open to everybody (not only T-Mobile customers) and will continue while supplies last. The operator will hand over the old devices to ASEKOL for ecological disposal and recycling.
Surveys have revealed that although Czechs have improved in recycling used electronic devices in recent years, three-fourths of discarded electrical devices still end up in rubbish bins and unused mobile phones remain in drawers. According to estimates, there are more than 10 million such devices, which contain up to half a tonne of precious metals that can be reused. Additionally, ecological disposal prevents leakage of harmful substances into the environment. Customers can hand in unused devices at T-Mobile shops for disposal throughout the year.
“Every year, our customers hand in only a few hundred old devices for recycling at shops. However, truth to be told, this is a very low number. Therefore, we are now offering them some extra motivation – a power bank for an old phone. We believe that the numbers of old phones that have been handed in will soon rise to thousands thanks to this special offer,” says Eva Karasová, CSR Manager at T-Mobile.
