T-MOBILE WILL SUPPORT HOLIDAYS IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC WITH UNLIMITED DATA

  • Unlimited free data for 24 hours for all customers - households and companies – for visiting selected locations
  • Participation offered to more than 500 T-Mobile corporate customers, the portal “Kudyznudy.cz” addressed 1,700 of its B2B partners
  • The marketing campaign starts on July 1

Prague, June 24, 2020 – This year's summer holiday will be spent by most Czech residents in the Czech Republic. T-Mobile has therefore decided to make the stay in the Czech Republic, Moravia or Silesia more pleasant for all its customers, and at the same time support its corporate customers and domestic tourism. In selected locations, more or less well-known to tourists, households and B2B T-Mobile customers will be able to enjoy unlimited mobile data free of charge during July and August. The operator cooperated with the CzechTourism agency at the event to support tourism. T-Mobile will also support the offer with a communication campaign with the slogan "Together in Magenta Way".

T-Mobile addressed more than 500 of its corporate customers in the field of tourism, gastronomy and hospitality. In cooperation with the editorial staff of the portal Kudyznudy.cz of the CzechTourism agency, participation was offered to another 1,700 entities throughout the country. From July, popular tourist destinations, establishments from the segment of gastronomy, accommodation, tourism, etc. should appear in the list. Unlimited free data will be available to holidaymakers in every region of the Czech Republic.

“After the measures were relaxed, we were looking for a way how to make our customers their holiday more comfortable, while supporting tourism entrepreneurs, including our corporate customers,” explains Juraj Bóna, T-Mobile's Executive Director for the Czech Republic, adding: “We hope that with popular benefit for customers, we will increase traffic in selected locations, and thus also help revive not only tourism, but the entire Czech Republic.”

“According to our latest survey, eight out of ten Czechs plan to spend their holidays in the Czech Republic. With the concept of #svetoveCesko (#WorldinCzechRepublic), we try to motivate them to visit even lesser-known places in the regions that are waiting for domestic tourists. To do this, we also use the potential of cooperation with other partners,” said Jan Herget, Managing Director of Czech Tourism, adding: “The Kudyznudy.cz leisure portal edited its best partners from each region and offered them the opportunity to participate in a joint project with T-Mobile.”

Unlimited free data for 24 hours

Getting unlimited free data for 24 hours will be very easy. If customers visit the site involved in the event, they only need to find a leaflet with a QR code. After scanning by phone, it is automatically transcribed into a free SMS, which needs to be sent to the number 4603. Alternatively, the customer can send an activation SMS in the form: CESKELETO XXXX to 4603, where XXXX is a unique site/establishment code. 

After SMS confirmation of consent to localization (takes place only when joining the campaign for the first time), the customer will receive a unique 14-digit code, which he/she will insert into the My T-Mobile mobile application and thus activate unlimited data free of charge for 24 hours.

The code for a given location can only be used once a day, while the customer can use free mobile surfing gained form one location a maximum of three times during July and August. The maximum transfer rate in the unlimited data package is 3Mbps.

The list of partners for whom unlimited data is available free of charge will be continuously updated and will be available from 1 July at www.t-mobile.cz/pomagentove.

 Marketing campaign “Spolu po magentove”

T-Mobile will support the unique summer offer with a marketing campaign, which will run from 1 July to 31 August. Mediamix will include TV spots, an online campaign, outdoor media, including LED screens, and social media. The creative was prepared by the Saatchi & Saatchi agency, the digital part of the campaign is done by Proboston Creative, the purchase of media space was provided by MediaCom Prague.
