CURRENT EDITION OF “MLUVME SPOLU” PROGRAMME NOW UNDERWAY

Nearly CZK 3 million to be distributed among organisations during two years
One project can receive up to CZK 300,000 in support
Free training over two years within the T-Mobile Fund Academy

Prague, 9 December 2014 – T-Mobile will support nine projects within this year’s edition of the MLUVME SPOLU (“LET’S TALK TO EACH OTHER”) call for grant applications. Non-profit organisations will receive up to CZK 300,000 for implementation of their respective projects. Beginning in January 2015, they will also be able to make use of the offer of free training over the course of two years within the T-Mobile Fund Academy. The key themes of the call for grant applications were communication, cooperation and integration. All organisations will strive to address concrete problems in local communities while involving disadvantaged groups of citizens in their projects.

“I am happy that we received interesting projects from different regions, each of which is focused on a different target group. They include projects involving work with children with impaired hearing, projects aimed at educational and professional development of single mothers, work with elderly people, wheelchair users and homeless people. The focus of the projects was very broad and we are very much looking forward to how the individual projects will develop further with our support,” says Petra Pavičová, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at T-Mobile.

This year, 106 grant applications were submitted, of which 24 advanced to the final round. The winning projects were selected by a seven-member evaluation committee composed of representatives of the media, public administration and the non-profit and corporate sectors. This time the committee met with all of the finalists and thus had the possibility to meet the originators and implementers of the projects in person. “I was surprised by the degree to which people can get passionate about their cause. The ideas were very intriguing; we will see how the originators will approach their projects and how successful they will be in bringing them to life,” says Jan Křečan, Corporate Solutions Sales and Support Team Leader at T-Mobile and member of the evaluation committee.

Two stages of the grants

In the first grant stage, which will take six months, the winning organisations will receive a maximum of CZK 100,000. Based on their results achieved in the first six months, the organisations can then apply for the remaining support, with the aggregate total of up to CZK 300,000 per project.

Organisations also have the possibility of participating in a free two-year training program offered by the T-Mobile Fund Academy. They can thus receive support in the form of free consultation provided by experts from T-Mobile, as well as in the form of coaching, hands-on one-day workshops and webinars and cooperation with the operator’s volunteers.
