Hollender new Chief Financial Officer

  • Katharina Hollender takes over as Chief Financial Officer of T-Mobile International

Bonn, 2 January 2007 - Effective immediately, Katharina Hollender has been appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer of T-Mobile International. She succeeds Thomas G. Winkler, who resigned as of January 31, 2007.

"She brings with her a wealth of experience in the finance industry and in telecommunications," says Hamid Akhavan, Chief Executive Officer of T-Mobile International. "This will be a great help in steering us towards achieving our financial targets and thus supporting us on our way to becoming the most highly regarded service company."

Hollender is 40 years old and comes to T-Mobile International from T-Hrvatski Telekom in Croatia, where she was Chief Financial Officer. Before moving to Croatia, she was Chief Financial and IT Officer at T-Punkt Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH in Germany. She joined Deutsche Telekom AG in 1998, first in central controlling, where she was responsible for national and international carriers, then as Head of Board Member Support, Finance and Controlling at DTAG.

Born in Essen, Germany, Hollender graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Essen, majoring in business informatics, organization and planning and financial management.
