No more paperwork: Electronic invoice

  • You will be able to access your Statements of Services earlier, free of charge and on-line
  • Itemized list of calls for only CZK 1
  • Electronic invoice service on trial

Prague, 6 April 2009 - We all know it well - files or boxes full of bills for flat rent, utilities, TV, telephone. Nobody likes sorting them out. Each of us consumes 150 kg of paper every year and we are all drowning in paper which we will probably never use, but what if we need it some day... Beginning in April, T-Mobile offers electronic Statements of Services, which represent an environmentally friendly alternative to paper Statements. Customers will thus be informed of their phone bills on-line and free of charge and earlier than when using the standard paper form. Thanks to the electronic mark and a time stamp, the electronic invoice is a valid tax document.

"Electronic Statement of Services is not only a modern form of communication with customers but also another contribution to the protection of the environment," explains Martina Kemrová, spokeswoman for T‑Mobile, adding: "If a half of our contract customers chose this method of invoicing, we would save approximately 112 trees each year and grow quite a large forest in several years."

Benefits: fast, clear, environment-friendly
With an electronic mark and a time stamp, the electronic Statement of Services is a valid tax document.

An electronic invoice is available earlier than a paper one. It is issued on the same day as the paper version (usually on the 6th day after the end of the respective billing period) and it is delivered to the customer's e-mail address on the same day. At the same time, it is available on the internet under My T-Mobile, in the Billing and Payments section.

Customers who want to be sure that they will not miss their electronic Statements of Services can easily set up the e-mail notification service at My T-Mobile.

Customers using the electronic version of invoices can also receive itemized lists of calls for only CZK 1.

Electronic invoice on trial
If you are not sure whether the electronic Statements of Services would be suitable for you, you can set them up for a trial period of three months via My T-Mobile.  During the following three months, you will receive both electronic and paper Statements of Services. Unless you choose otherwise, after the end of the trial period you will only be sent electronic invoices.

Ordering an electronic invoice and required programs and applications
You can order electronic Statements of Services on-line through My T-Mobile at www.t-mobile.cz (under My T‑Mobile/Billing and Payments/Form of Invoicing) or by calling the T-Mobile Customer Centre on 603 603 603 (4603 from T-Mobile numbers)

For viewing electronic Statements of Services, you need Adobe Reader version 7.0.5.or higher.  The program can be downloaded free of charge from www.adobe.com. Upon receiving the first electronic invoice, customers will simply install the certificate necessary to verify the validity of the electronic mark and then they can receive electronic invoices each month.

"We believe that our customers will appreciate this modern service and will at least try the electronic invoice out," says Martina Kemrová: "Electronic invoices are more practical and help reduce our ecological footprint."
