FRAG.cz online PC game rental has 10,000 users

  • A record number of players have tried PC game rental in the first two months
  • 20% of users play every day
  • Seven days free of charge for each new player

Prague, 20 August 2010 - The first online PC game rental in the Czech Republic has stirred great interest. Yesterday, the www.frag.cz portal welcomed its 10,000th registered user, a player using the nickname danik02, who thus won a brand new Sony Ericsson W995 from T-Mobile. New users can still take advantage of the offer to try online game rental for one week free of charge!

"Ten thousand registered users in two months is a great success. We will continue doing our best to provide customers with the best gaming service," says Michal Němec, Vice President Portal & Content Services at T-Mobile, adding: "Currently there are 350 games available and their number is growing day by day."

Statistics show that many Czechs are fond of gardening and farming, so it is no surprise that Farm Frenzy 3: American Pie is the most popular game. Other popular games include the racing game FlatOut, the intriguing strategy game Plants vs. Zombies and classic action games Tomb Raider Underworld and Hitman Blood Money. Czechs like to play, which is demonstrated by the fact that 20% of users play on the FRAG portal every day. The leading player is Flamberg, who has spent 200 hours playing on the portal.

The rental offer is continuously being expanded. Approximately 300 games were available at the beginning of June; that number has since increased to 350. Seven new games localized in the Czech language have been added just in the past week. The most popular bundle is NAPLNO. Men prevail among the players, representing approximately two-thirds of users.

Fans of computer entertainment can choose from three different bundles:

  • RELAX - CZK 99 - offering short games to pass the time;
  • ODVAZ - CZK 199 - with races, criminal investigation and popular cooking and farm games;
  • NAPLNO - CZK 299 - giving fans the opportunity to enjoy their time at the computer to the fullest.

There are several payment methods: by payment card, coupon, via a T-Mobile account (only for T-Mobile customers) or Premium SMS (RELAX bundle).

Each new user can try out all of the rental possibilities for one week free of charge by simply filling out a registration form and downloading the FRAG Player, which is necessary for playing the games. The service is available to customers of all mobile operators in the Czech Republic as well as Slovakia.

Since its launch, the www.frag.cz portal has been visited by more than 150,000 users.
