FRAG gaming magazine given a makeover

  • With its tenth anniversary issue, FRAG expands its reach
  • A present for readers – 130 PC games free of charge for one month in the on‑line game rental shop at frag.cz
  • The mobile game My Sims available to T‑Mobile customers for the price of just one order SMS

Prague, 2 December 2010 – With its recently released tenth anniversary issue, FRAG has been given a makeover. The gaming magazine previously dedicated only to mobile entertainment has expanded its reach to cover the whole gaming world and now offers information not only about mobile and PC games but also about games available on Facebook. The first issue, priced CZK 49, is at newsstands now and includes a present for readers – 130 full-version PC games free of charge for one month that can be downloaded from the on-line game rental shop at frag.cz.

“The magazine is following the frag.cz internet portal, which no longer offers just mobile games but also professional reviews of new games and has developed into the first on-line PC game rental shop," explains Jiří Hašek, Vice President Category & Product Management at T-Mobile, adding: “The redesigned FRAG is the only magazine about games for virtually the whole family – it?s not only for the usual group of young people, but also for less traditional players – employed persons and parents.?

FRAG (and thus T-Mobile) has prepared two presents for its readers: the issue includes a CZK 99 Relax voucher that can be used for downloading PC games from the frag.cz on-line rental shop. It will give users free access for a whole month to 130 full-version PC games, including such titles as Age of Empires, Bejeweled 2, Zoo Tycoon, Flatout, 7 Wonders, Peggle and Farm Frenzy 2 CZ.

The second present is intended for T-Mobile customers who can download the My Sims mobile game in Czech into their handsets for only the price of one order SMS as per their respective tariff plan. The download code is included inside the magazine.

In addition, the first issue of FRAG brings an array of reviews (in total 49) on 68 pages. Thanks to its wide reach, the magazine also features an interview with Roman Vaněk, a judge in the culinary competition Na Nože! (“On the knife's edge"), the Czech version of the American reality show Top Chef, who has reviewed the best-known culinary games. And it's not only the chefs' knives that are sharp? Another big issue, gaming at work, will undoubtedly catch readers' attention too.

The high quality of the magazine is guaranteed by GODS, a team of authors including such famous Czech gaming journalists as Mikoláš Tuček, Jakub Červinka and Ondřej Kolanda. Those in the know do not need to be reminded that these persons are also in charge of the frag.cz portal and were behind such successful projects as Excalibur, Score, Game Page, etc.
