Frag on-line PC game rental welcomes its 20,000th registered visitor

• 529 games for seven days free of charge for new players

Prague, 11 January 2011 – Frag.cz, the first on-line PC game rental site, has welcomed a jubilee customer. The lucky player using the nickname vykas will receive from T-Mobile a limited-edition Nintendo Wii Red Super Mario Bros gaming console with three games, a sweatshirt and a T-Shirt, all neatly packed in a practical T-Mobile Hannah backpack. 

The www.frag.cz game portal offers 529 games, with new ones added every week. New players are given a free seven-day trial of all games without any commitment or registration. So far the portal has had 369,100 unique visitors, out of which 20,000 are currently registered. The on-line PC game rental site also registers avid fans – the most devoted one has spent over 1,000 hours on it; the second most frequent user has already gained 100,000 points in the community system. Five games that have ranked among the ten most played games are in the Czech language. 

Frag already offers over five hundred games, the lastest one being the Luxor 5. It has been five years since the first series of this adventurous puzzle game from ancient Egypt was published. In addition, frag.cz also exclusively offered the third series of the stone-puzzle game Bejeweled 3 on the day of its global release.With 50 million units sold worldwide to date, i.e. one every four seconds, Bejeweled 3 has immediately become the most popular title on frag.cz, closely followed by Plants vs. Zombies. Since our customers are nearly professional players, lesser known but often very high-quality games, such as Treasures of Montezuma, Heroes of Hellas 2 and 4 Elements, are also proving successful. Another interesting example of the newly added items is House M.D., a game inspired by the popular television series House. 

The on-line PC rental is based on subscription, with games divided into bundles. The Relax bundle for CZK 99 is intended for beginners, with over 150 game titles opening doors to the world of PC games. Intermediate players are offered the Odvaz bundle for CZK 199, with nearly 300 interesting games. Serious players can make use of the Naplno bundle for CZK 299, which enables access to over five hundred games. Which title dominates the rankings within individual groups? The most popular game from the Relax bundle is Fishdom CZ, from the Odvaz bundle Escape the Museum 2 CZ and from the Naplno bundle Bejeweled 3. 

Frag is also published in a printed version: 68 pages for CZK 49. The tenth anniversary issue was published with a new design and concept with a circulation 20,000 copies. A voucher for the Relax bundle worth CZK 99, offering 150 PC games for one month free of charge was included as a gift. In addition, T-Mobile customers who purchase the magazine can download the My Sims PC game in the Czech language into their mobile handsets for the price of a single SMS (as per the tariff plan).
