Prague, 12 October 2011 - Effective 1 November 2011, František Mala will become the new director of the Marketing Division of T-Mobile Czech Republic. His appointment was approved by the company's board of directors at the end of last week. František Mala, the current Channel Strategy and Support Director at Slovak Telekom, will replace Petr Dvořák as Marketing Director of T-Mobile, who is leaving the company at the end of October.

František Mala (36) is a graduate of Comenius University in Bratislava. He has worked at Slovak Telecom/T Mobile Slovakia since 2000, where, thanks to his excellent results, he held management positions in finance, marketing and customer care. For four years, he successfully held the post of Consumer Segment Director at T-Mobile Slovakia. Following the integration of Slovak Telekom and T-Mobile Slovakia, he was in charge of the Customer Service Division at Slovak Telekom. He currently holds the position of Channel Strategy and Support Director at the same company. Prior to joining the Deutsche Telekom Group, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Coopers & Lybrand, among others.

"I am very happy that František Mala will hold this key position in our company, as he has extensive experience not only in marketing but also in customer care, plus he is able to combine it with the perspective of a financier," says Milan Vašina, Managing Director of T-Mobile Czech Republic a.s., commenting on the appointment and adding: "The role of a marketing director at a telecommunications company is not easy nowadays, but I am sure that František will rise to the challenge. I would also like to thank Petr Dvořák, who headed the Marketing Division of our company in the past three years, for his commitment and creative contribution and I wish him a lot of success in the future."

František Mala speaks English, German and Czech in addition to his native Slovak. He is married with two children. He likes to spend his free time with his family, with a good book or physical activity, either hiking or swimming.
