LET´S TALK TO EACH OTHER under the heading of the T-Mobile Fund

The T-Mobile Fund will distribute grants totalling CZK 3.5 million this year
Maximum support is CZK 100,000 per one project
The crucial topic is communication

Prague, 3 April 2013 – The T-Mobile Fund has announced the “MLUVME SPOLU” (“LET’S TALK TO EACH OTHER”) call for grant applications. Its aim is to strengthen trust among people and their mutual communication in dealing with social issues. This year, CZK 3.5 million is ready in the fund for this activity.

The grants can be applied for by individuals, informal groups of citizens, non-profit organisations, institutions receiving contributions from the state budget, and municipalities. One applicant can register a maximum of three projects, of which only one can be supported, with the maximum amount being CZK 100,000.

“We want to help bring good ideas into the world and we prefer those that will bring a long-term positive impact,” says Petra Pavičová, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at T-Mobile, adding: “We will support especially projects that contribute to better agreement between groups of local citizens, facilitate communication between citizens and local authorities and enhance the capacity of people to listen to each other and to hold a constructive dialogue.” A condition is that the applicants must ensure at least 25% co-financing (which can be in the form of voluntary work).

The grant-award procedure is implemented through the VIA Foundation. More information and the online project registration form are available here

The T-Mobile Fund has changed substantially this year. “MLUVME SPOLU” (“LET’S TALK TO EACH OTHER”) is one of the four categories in which projects supported by the Fund are newly divided. In the second pillar, “POMÁHEJME SI” (“LET’S HELP EACH OTHER“), the operator supports volunteer activities of its employees while also awarding them for those activities. One of the ways in which this is done is that the employees who help a non-profit organisation in their free time or know someone who is in a difficult life situation have an opportunity to receive financial support for the beneficiary of assistance. In the third pillar, “VYMYSLEME TO” (“LET’S INVENT IT”), T-Mobile wants to foster the creation of useful mobile applications. The first step is rewarding a socially responsible solution, a so-called Application for a Better World, as part of the traditional Mobile Application of the Year contest. The last category, “ROZVÍJEJME SE” (“LET’S DEVELOP OURSELVES”), includes all projects in which the operator shares its expert knowledge with the non-profit sector. These include, for example, very successful workshops that T-Mobile has now for the fourth time organised for participating organisations.
