T-MOBILE ANNOUNCES ANOTHER CALL FOR APPLICATIONS WITHIN THE LET'S TALK TO EACH OTHER PROGRAM

The fund will distribute CZK 3 million within the two-year program
The maximum amount of one grant is CZK 300,000
The key topics are communication, integration and cooperation

Prague, 15 September 2014 –T-Mobile has announced another edition of the "MLUVME SPOLU" ("LET'S TALK TO EACH OTHER") call for grant applications. The aim of the program is to improve communication and cooperation between people in the Czech Republic. The operator will distribute a total of CZK 3 million to support projects that will help resolve a particular community issues and will also engage disadvantaged groups of people in the implementation of the projects. Non-profit organisations can submit their program applications online until 17 October. A free online seminar is available to help applicants fill in the registration form.

"Communities cannot function in a healthy manner without people knowing each other, talking to each other and accepting those standing on their margins. For ten years, the T-Mobile Fund has been supporting active people who care about the world around them," says Petra Pavičová, Social Responsibility Manager at T-Mobile.

Projects must meet all of the following criteria:

  • help in building civil society, developing the community or public space
  • involve disadvantaged groups of people (e.g., socially excluded and handicapped persons, minorities, etc.)
  • engage fellow citizens in activities carried out together
  • help resolve specific problems within the particular community
  • raise understanding and trust among people.

The LET'S TALK TO EACH OTHER 2014 grant program is intended for small non-profit organisations active in local communities. Each organisation can register only one project and receive CZK 300,000 for its implementation. T-Mobile will offer selected applicants the opportunity to participate in the T-Mobile Fund Academy, giving them a possibility of using the services of the operator's coaches and receiving expert advice free of charge. Applicants will also have an opportunity to attend seminars and workshops.

Applicants for grants can submit their applications in the two-year program until 17 October 2014. A webinar has been prepared to help them draft their projects, which they can watch on 22 September 2014 from 3 p.m. at www.prosvetkolemnas.cz. An offline version of the webinar will be available to those who will be unable to watch it live. On this website, prospective applicants can also find comprehensive information about the grant program, including a link to the electronic application form.

Registered projects will be evaluated by an independent panel composed of representatives of the media, the non-profit and commercial sectors and the state administration. All applicants will be informed about the results of the panel's evaluation in due time. The best projects will be made known in the first half of December. The organizations' participation in the two-year program will start at the beginning of 2015.
