T-Mobile celebrates the 200,000 fan mark on Facebook

Prague, 8 October 2014 – T-Mobile has hit the 200,000 fan mark on its Facebook profile. On this occasion, the operator’s employees thanked all the fans in the form of a short “anniversary” video. The “A Thousand Thanks” concept was conceived and prepared for the operator by Bubble, an agency with which T-Mobile cooperates on the preparation of its activities aimed at social networks.

Employees from across the company volunteered to take part in the thank-you video, with thanks being sent to fans both by customer-service employees and by members of management.

In nearly five years on Facebook (the profile was created on 11 October 2009), T-Mobile has made its way to the top among Czech mobile operators. It has continuously placed among the most active brands on the Czech social media market and has long been one of the “most socially devoted” Czech companies (on average, customers receive a response to their queries posted on the T-Mobile CZ profile in 56 minutes).

Every month, more than 1,900 conversations appear on Facebook alone, which are processed by a specially trained online communication team. Through Facebook communication and activities, the operator reaches more than 400,000 users every week. Behind-the-scenes videos from quarterly campaign shoot have long been the most popular content and help make T-Mobile a popular contributor not only on Facebook but also on YouTube. With more than 100,000 subscribers, the operator is one the most successful Czech YouTube channels.

A few interesting figures on T-Mobile’s Facebook page:

  • Eighty-three percent of all fans are users under the age of 34
  • The numbers of male and female fans are nearly equal, with 53% men and 47% women. Men are more active, though.
  • The largest number of fans are from Prague, followed by the Brno and Ostrava areas.
