In the EU countries for the same prices as at home; in the rest of the world now for much more attractive prices. Before the start of the summer holiday season, T-Mobile is introducing new data roaming bundles comprising the best offer on the market. The operator is reducing the prices in the most popular destinations by up to 76% and by 92% in 20 other countries, with rates starting at CZK 1.40/MB. The offer is valid for all customers, including prepaid card users.

The new Svět (“World”) bundles for the 40 most popular countries offer a data allowance of 100, 250 or 500 MB and will be available from 25 June 2018. They will appear on the landing page of the browser when customers log in to a foreign network. The landing page is displayed free of charge and if customers do not select any of the bundles on offer, their phones will not connect to the internet without their knowledge. Customers therefore do not have to be afraid of bill shock.

The 40 most popular destinations mentioned above include (outside of the EU, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein, where customers can use data services under the same conditions as in the Czech Republic), for example, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, the United States, Turkey, Vietnam and Russia.

The price of the data bundle for almost all remaining countries has been reduced by nearly half – 100 MB will now cost CZK 1,399 (originally CZK 2,750). No data bundles are available in countries with extremely expensive data services, such as Angola, Maldives, Ethiopia and Seychelles, where data services will be billed in 1 MB increments.

“We have long protected our customers against unexpected expenditures. Since 2014, a free landing page has been displayed before they can connect to the internet while roaming in the world,” explains Petra Běláková, Category & Product Manager responsible for roaming services, adding: “Customers can check the information about the remaining allowance under the bundle they purchased at all times, both in the My T-Mobile application and on the dedicated page in the browser on their phones.”

The complete offer, including the list of countries, will be updated on 25 June and made available on the website at www.t-mobile.cz/roaming.
