- 26 new towns, 63 smaller communities
- Free one-week trial of internet access still available
Prague, 29 June 2011 – In June, T-Mobile was busy working on making fast internet access available to more people across the nation. The numbers speak for themselves: 26 new towns, 63 smaller communities, 50.33% of the population of the Czech Republic. All base stations built by the operator are equipped with the enhanced HSPA+ technology, which means that, with appropriate terminal devices, they are able to provide users the fastest data transmissions in the Czech Republic.
The largest towns where residents can enjoy the country’s fastest data network since June include, for example, Litoměřice, Havlíčkův Brod, Vyškov, Benešov, Český Krumlov and Ústí nad Orlicí.
Additional base stations are now available thanks to the cooperation on 3G network expansion between Telefónica Czech Republic and T-Mobile. The group of shared towns has been extended with Velké Meziříčí, Pacov, Týnec nad Sázavou and Kamenice nad Lipou.
Customers now have a possibility to ask when the 3G network will be available in their place of residence via Facebook at www.facebook.com/TmobileCz.
Customers still have an opportunity to test signal strength and transmission speed, as they may borrow from the operator a data SIM card with the Internet na cesty bundle together with the Huawei E 1823 modem, which supports the HSPA+ technology, free of charge for seven days against a returnable deposit of CZK 2,000.
