Commentary of RadioMobil a.s.on the intent of the Czech Telecommunications Office (ÄŚTÚ) to announce a public tender for the awarding of telecommunications licences for the establishment and operation of UMTS networks

Introduction
RadioMobil a.s. provides telecommunications services in the Czech Republic based on the Authorisation to Establish and Operate Public Mobile GSM Telecommunication Network and Provide Mobile GSM Telecommunications Services (ref. no. 7660/96-611 dated 25 March 1996).

As one of the existing mobile operators in the Czech Republic, RadioMobil a.s. is seriously interested in obtaining a UMTS licence and below submits the commentary on the ÄŚTÚs intent to announce a public tender for awarding UMTS licences. The commentary includes:

• brief summary of the opinion of RadioMobil a.s. on individual aspects of the UMTS issue,
• detailed rationale of individual opinions and requirements,
• Annex documenting the development of experience with UMTS licensing in Europe.
