Prague, 18 May 2016 – Non-profit organisations, local communities and informal groups can apply for grants for projects that will significantly help build the civic society and develop the particular community and public space. A condition for the award of a grant is that the applicants must demonstrate that they havea clear stance that socially excluded citizens, persons with disabilities and ethnic, gender and newly arriving minorities have their place in society. Applicants can submit their projects by 22 June at www.t-mobile.cz/pomahame.
“By means of the grants, we help people and community initiatives that make ordinary streets, quarters, communities and cities a good place to live. We are happy if the result is a physical transformation of the various locations for the better and if people meet over common work, start to talk to each other and cooperate and contribute towards the integration of disadvantaged groups,” says Eva Karasová, CSR Manager at T-Mobile, adding: “We want to support innovative projects that bring in a new approach and a tangible change for the better and have a positive effect in the long run.”
A total of CZK 3 million will be distributed within the T-Mobile Mluvme spolu (“Let’s Talk to Each Other “) grant programme. The maximum amount that an applicant can apply for is CZK 100,000; a condition is that a minimum of 10% of a project’s funding must be provided by means of financial participation, material support or volunteer work. Projects seeking support from the grant programme must be implemented in the period between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017.
