One of the most visible technological projects was a test of mobile signal strengthening in real conditions during the Běhej lesy Brdy race. During the event, T-Mobile verified the combination of a micromobile base station and the alternation of two fully certified drones with a connection to satellite connectivity, which may enable connectivity to be provided in the future where it is not commonly available. The technology developed within the Deutsche Telekom can help, for example, during large sporting and cultural events or in situations where it is necessary to quickly restore connections in emergency situations.
In the area of network infrastructure, T-Mobile continued to expand the capacity and availability of the 5G mobile signal, with population coverage reaching 99.19% according to CTU data from June 2026. The technological dimension of the magenta operator's investments was complemented by Technology Innovations Day in May, during which T-Mobile showed specific scenarios for the use of 5G Standalone (SA) technology. Of course, more accessible connectivity also applies to public transport, which is why, together with other operators and Správa železnic, the company has presented a plan to develop the coverage of railway corridors and tunnels so that people can be online and on the road.
Similarly, the role of the operator was shown where digital infrastructure is becoming an invisible condition for the functioning of large events and customer services. In June, T-Mobile presented its activities planned for the Colours of Ostrava music festival, including a festival zone for visitors, complete 5G coverage of the complex, cashless operation and secure data infrastructure for organizers.
News for customers in the form of a pilot of mobile phones trade-in programme, summer offer of 30 GB of free data were also complemented by special VOD channels within MAGENTA TV. In addition to Letní kino, the viewers were also pleased Narozeninové kino, which was shown on its ten-year anniversary. The interest of the audience was also earned by the announcement of a partnership with the film Pět švestek directed by Jan Svěrák. Operator also celebrated its own author's podcast Mezi svými, which received a new visual identity on the occasion of the jubilee 30th episode.
For its corporate customers, T-Mobile has prepared new solutions that combine connectivity, security and work with data. Inline Security has taken mobile internet protection directly to a place where it can analyze data traffic in real time without the need for application installation or special intervention by IT departments. The Business Cloud operated in Czech data centers then offered companies a local infrastructure ready for AI applications, European security standards and the principles of a sovereign cloud. Both innovations respond to the growing need to protect data and store it locally.
But technology has not only been written into networks and services offered. The sensors, which helped monitor the conditions on the Jizerská 50 route during the winter months, switched to a new regime in the summer and began to monitor, for example, the water temperature in the Dolina retention reservoir and climatic conditions at selected locations in the Jizera Mountains. The operator thus showed the possibilities of practical use of data thanks to IoT technology (the so-called Internet of Things) outside of traditional fields such as logistics.
T-Mobile has newly established cooperation with Elpida o.p.s. and became the main partner of its Senior Line. Company also continued in recycling programs with Remobil, and helped to collect over 5,000 used mobile phones in a campaign called ReRekord as part of a cooperation with Ukliďme Česko. At the same time, the operator launched a grant call focused on the mental health of young people, in which a record 175 projects from all over the country applied. This proves that responsible business for a company means not only the development of technology, but also the support of communities and topics that are increasingly important to society.
