Packed with Innovations – This Is How the Country's Largest Mobile Operator Rates 2025

Although 2025 brought a series of uncertainties and changes both at home and abroad and was undoubtedly far from calm, it also delivered positive shifts – new technologies and AI brought globally significant insights and advances in many areas. The innovations introduced by T-Mobile last year also instil mild optimism – from the real-world use of a drone to extend mobile 5G coverage at Jizerská 50, through free access to AI Perplexity, to the new T Phones with proprietary AI assistant and much more. Data consumption rose by more than 20% year-over-year, profit before interest and taxes by 6.4%, and total revenue growth by 2.5%. The company is in good shape, confirmed its stability, and again invested several billion crowns in the Czech Republic – specifically CZK 4.2 billion in network and network infrastructure alone, with total investments including non-network components amounting to CZK 5.9 billion.

Last year was thoroughly permeated by AI. As early as January, the operator gifted its customers free one-year access to Perplexity Pro. That it was a top gift was confirmed by hundreds of thousands of users in the first weeks. Soon after, it introduced its own artificial intelligence Magenta AI, which it then supplemented with additional creative tools from partners Picsart and ElevenLabs. It also launched a new product line: T Phone 3, T Phone 3 Pro, and T Tablet 2, all with integrated advanced AI features.

“Customers are at the center of everything we do. Our goal is for them to truly enjoy their journey with T-Mobile to the fullest, to always get something attractive extra as part of their experiences, and to be among the first on the Czech market to access the latest innovations and technologies. I am very pleased that we are succeeding in this mission. It is the merit of the entire magenta team,” stated Melinda Szabó, CEO of T-Mobile Czech Republic and Slovak Telekom, adding: “We are not letting up. Massive investments in the billions of crowns, not only in infrastructure, continue. We believe that the building law will get moving and that 5G coverage as well as high-speed internet for households will accelerate as soon as possible.”

The operator remained fully committed to network coverage advances as well – investments in network and network infrastructure exceeded CZK 4.2 billion. Mobile 5G network population coverage reached 98.39%, and by the end of 2025, 1.36 million households had access to fiber optics. The network was also awarded as the best in roaming experience in Europe among Czech operators. Last year, the company also put a unique solution into practice – a drone for extending 5G signal at Jizerská 50 – and achieved a record in airborne data transmission: a test on the 5G network using the 26 GHz mmWave band recorded a data transmission record of 11.6 Gbit/s. Another activity is covering white spots – a joint project of operators under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and ČTÚ, where coverage of the first locations was announced at year-end.

Customer at the Center

As part of enhancing security, T-Mobile has been protecting its clients with a firewall against fraudulent calls since 2023, and since last year together with other operators. It also provides its customers with plenty of entertainment and experiences every year, and last year was no exception. In Magenta TV, which currently has 325 thousand users, it introduced Netflix, Kids' and Halloween cinema, and expanded the CANAL+ offering. Magenta Moments featured exclusive offers such as free one-year Perplexity subscription, Wolt+ for new users, attractive rewards and offers in summer and winter, or discounted festival entry and benefits abroad. The program had 1.785 million users at year-end. In summer, the operator again partnered with the popular Colours of Ostrava music festival and ensured stable 5G signal for everyone on site, opened a new Magenta Experience Center in Brno, and announced that a new multifunctional arena there will be named T ARENA. To all its customers, it brought further innovations – RCS messages for iPhone and a new free RTT (Real-Time Text) feature, which allows writing and reading text messages in real time directly during a call.

Business customers also saw lively activity, with the 5G network in the starring role again – it covered the Horácká multifunctional arena, Jihlava Hospital, 5G is the foundation for the Smart factory at Tawesco in Kopřivnice, and the Military Hospital Brno was the first healthcare facility in Czechia to demonstrate practical use of private 5G SA network. That T-Cloud is among the safest cloud solutions in the Czech Republic, which also meet strict cybersecurity standards and store data exclusively on Czech territory, was confirmed by the SOC 2 Type II audit.

That T-Mobile is on the right path is also confirmed by the TOP Employer study, where it won in the telecommunications sector for the tenth time in a row, and last year it also broke into the TOP 5 of the interdisciplinary First Choice category among high school students. The operator also builds on strong ESG pillars and regularly engages in digital education, especially for children and seniors. It spreads awareness through its Mezisvými podcast and special projects related to topics such as online hate speech, cyberbullying (e.g., a survey conducted in cooperation with In IUSTITIA and the Ipsos agency), or prevention of crime against seniors (exhibition at the Police Museum). Company experts teach at the University of Hradec Králové, helping to prepare the new generation of IT and security specialists. Last year, the recycling theme was also present, which it regularly integrates into music and sports activities where it is a partner (e.g., Colours, Jizerská 50).
