- From 1 May 2003, RadioMobil will be called T-Mobile Czech Republic a.s.
Prague, 22 April 2003 - As of 1 May this year, RadioMobil a.s. is changing its trade name to T-Mobile Czech Republic a.s. The renaming of the company follows ten months after the rebranding from Paegas to T-Mobile and represents the last step in the process of integration of the company into the global T-Mobile group.
"I consider the upcoming change of the trade name of our company to be a logical and, at the same time, the last step in the process of integration into the global T-Mobile group. I am convinced that the name T-Mobile Czech Republic a.s. will further strengthen the positive perception of the T-Mobile brand and its firm association with a leading international operator," says Roland Mahler, Managing Director of the company.
The biggest change in the history of the company so far has been the change from the local Paegas to the global T-Mobile brand. An advertising campaign accompanying the brand migration was launched on 2 April last year and lasted three months. The change was officially completed on 2 July 2002 and since then, customers have encountered only with T-Mobile in the name of the network, as well as in the names of products and services.
Surveys of Research International show that the new brand has been introduced successfully and has been positively received. Awareness of the T?Mobile brand has even exceeded that of its predecessor. In December last year, 82 percent of the respondents spontaneously named T-Mobile as one of the mobile operator brands. When asked if they knew T-Mobile, a remarkable 95 percent of the respondents answered they did.
