In the first six months of this year, RadioMobil achieved the operating profit of CZK 2.7 billion according to Czech accounting standards, which is a 43% increase in comparison with the same period of the last year. Net revenues rose by 30% compared with the last year, reaching CZK 10.2 billion. The company made investments of more than CZK 5 billion, of which a vast majority went to projects directly related to the GSM network.
As of 30 June 2001, RadioMobil provided its services to 2,243,140 customers. The customer base thus increased by 76% compared to the last year.
The company experienced a significant increase also in the number of used minutes. Their volume increased by 41% during the last 12 months. During the last six months, almost the same number of SMS messages was sent as during the whole last year.
At the end of June 2001, the company had 2,266 employees, which is 6% more than on the same date of the last year.

The joint-stock company RadioMobil is the operator of a GSM 900/1800 MHz network called Paegas. It has been operating in the Czech market since 1996. RadioMobil is a member of Deutsche Telekom Group - one of the worldâ??s biggest telecommunications operators.
Today, the Paegas GSM network covers over 99% of the Czech population and 99.8% of first class roads. During the year 2000 alone, the number of transmitters increased by 750 and thus reached 2500 by the end of the year. RadioMobil customers may use their mobile phones in networks of 212 operators from 91 countries of the whole world.
