- T-Mobile will connect Prague, Brno and Plzeň via a telebridge before Christmas
- The most interesting messages will be posted on YouTube every day
Prague, 10 December 2009 - T-Mobile has launched the Smíchomost ("Laughing Bridge") project: a telebridge that will enable the citizens of Prague and Plzeň to communicate with each other in real time as of today and the citizens of Prague and Brno as of December 15. Communication will be facilitated by means of interconnected giant TV screens (2x3 m) which will display the life of the cities and enable their citizens to exchange greetings.
In Prague, the screens will be installed in front of the Palác Flora shopping center where, apart from the virtual communication link, visitors can expect plenty of entertainment. Anyone who would like to can try helium balloons and send merry Christmas greetings or sing carols and get nice presents for their efforts.
The Prague Smíchomost will connect Prague and Plzeň from December 10 until December 14 with giant screens installed in Americká třída in Plzeň. The communication link between Prague and Brno will be open from December 15 until December 19. Brno residents can view the screens on the pedestrian zone between Česká and Solniční Streets.
This unique opportunity for the residents of Plzeň, Brno and Prague to greet each other will be available 24 hours a day. The most interesting holiday wishes, conversations and messages communicated via the Smíchomost will be posted on www.youtube.com.
