- Applicants will receive one-third more money than last year
- A single project can be granted up to CZK 120,000, which is fifty percent more than last year

Prague, 6 March 2006 - The T-Mobile Fund has just announced the second year of its grant programme. A total of CZK 3,000,000 has been earmarked this year to support projects in the area of local development and community social services. This amount will be distributed in the three regions where T-Mobile has its offices and which it supports on a long-term basis: the Hradec Králové and Louny districts, and Prague 11. The deadline for submitting grant applications is Friday, 28 April 2006.
Support for regions where T-Mobile has the strongest representation is a cornerstone of its strategy of corporate social responsibility. That is also why the T-Mobile Fund grant programme was launched last year in cooperation with the Community Foundation of the Euroregion Labe and the VIA Foundation.
After the successful first year, the grant programme will now continue for a second round. Compared to last year, the programme has been modified in several ways. By far the most positive change is the increase in the amount of money which is to be distributed. This amount has increased by CZK 700,000 to a total of CZK 3 million.
"Last year, the grant programme met with great interest, and we are therefore pleased to provide the non-profit sector with even more money this time," says Jitka Chocová, the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager of T-Mobile.
The Company has also increased the maximum amount which can be granted to a single project. While in 2005 applicants could receive a maximum of CZK 80,000, this year they can win up to CZK 120,000, which represents an increase of 50 percent.
Unlike last year, applications can also be submitted by organizations which conduct their activities in the three above-mentioned regions and will provably implement their projects there even though they are based elsewhere. This measure should make the grant programme available to a much wider range of applicants.
Furthermore, the time limit for the implementation of submitted projects has been extended to 12 months this year. "We want to satisfy all grant recipients and give them considerable freedom in scheduling their projects," says Jana Zahradníčková of the VIA Foundation.
In order to make the grant programme available to more applicants, the number of applications has had to be limited. Therefore, each applicant can submit no more than two projects this year.
At the end of March, consultation will be provided to all applicants for financial contributions in the three above-mentioned regions on the following dates:
- 27 March, from 2:00 PM - T-Mobile Customer Centre in Louny, Komenského náměstí 2540
- 28 March, from 2:30 PM - T-Mobile Customer Centre in Hradec Králové, Collinova 420
- 29 March, from 2:00 PM - T-Mobile headquarters in Prague-Roztyly, Tomíčkova 2144/1
