Prague, 17 March 2011 – T-Mobile is extending its helping hand to all of its customers affected by the devastating natural disaster that has hit Japan. Beginning at midnight today, T-Mobile customers can make completely free calls and send free text messages either if they are in Japan or if they want to contact their loved ones in the land of the rising sun. Additionally, T-Mobile will refund the charges for calls made and text messages sent by these customers from 11 March until midnight today.
Tens, perhaps hundreds of Czech citizens are still in Japan. With this offer, T-Mobile wants to make it easier for them to contact their family and friends.
Beginning at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) on 18 March until the end of the month, T-Mobile is offering free:
- International calls from the Czech Republic to Japan
- International text messages from the Czech Republic to Japan
- Roaming calls to the Czech Republic and within Japan for T-Mobile customers in Japan
- Roaming text messages to the Czech Republic and within Japan for T-Mobile customers in Japan
Calls made and text messages sent from 11 March until midnight today will also be free of charge: in the case of contract customers, T-Mobile will refund such calls and text messages in the next Statement of Services, Twist customers will get their money back in the first week of April.
