T-Mobile Launches Business Cloud: Data-Sovereign, Affordable AI-Ready Cloud

Companies not only in the Czech Republic, but throughout the EU, are starting to deal much more intensively with where their data lies, who has control over it and what regulatory obligations await them in connection with NIS2 and the growing pressure on national data sovereignty. T-Mobile is thus launching Business Cloud, a modern cloud infrastructure operated in its own data centers in the Czech Republic. The solution meets the strictest European security standards and offers performance suitable for demanding AI-based applications. At the same time, it is part of the European sovereign cloud, which is gradually being introduced by the Deutsche Telekom Group.

The cloud market has been undergoing significant changes in recent years. Companies are starting to deal much more intensively with where exactly their data lies, how it is protected, who has control over it and what regulatory requirements await them. In addition to legislative frameworks such as the US Cloud Act, the licensing policy of some global providers is also changing the situation. This leads many companies, not only in the Czech Republic, to look for more stable, accessible and transparent alternatives. At the same time, the demand for performance for AI-powered applications is growing sharply. Deutsche Telekom has therefore embarked on the path to building a European sovereign cloud, and T-Mobile in the Czech Republic is among the first countries of the group to introduce the new solution.

"The basic idea of Business Cloud is simple – to offer companies a solution that is fully under their control. The service runs exclusively in our Czech T-Mobile data centers, which guarantees companies full data sovereignty, compliance with European legislation and zero risk associated with the American Cloud Act," says Peter Laco, commercial director of B2B division at T-Mobile and Slovak Telekom, adding: "At a time when the Cloud Act has become one of the most discussed topics in the European cloud market,  This certainty is key for many companies."

The operator's data centers, including the state-of-the-art DC7, meet Tier III+ parameters, are SOC 2 Type II certified and are ready for NIS2 requirements. The Business Cloud itself is built on a modern, cloud-based stack with a KVM hypervisor and is not dependent on proprietary licenses, which brings stability and predictability to customers.

Business Cloud is addressing the growing demand for computing power, among other things, thanks to GPU-as-a-Service integration. "Companies increasingly need local infrastructure for the secure operation of applications and programs without the need to send data abroad. That's why we've integrated GPU computing power, for example, for demanding 3D graphics or AI supporting local AI assistants and LLM models. Business Cloud thus allows companies to run modern AI applications locally within the Czech infrastructure. Another novelty is the launch of our digital app marketplace. Thanks to it, customers can easily and quickly, literally with a few clicks, activate a wide range of ready-made software solutions," explains Michal Koláček, manager of cloud services and data centers at T-Mobile

The product is designed to be accessible to small and medium-sized companies that are often looking for a simple, understandable and affordable solution. However, not only these will appreciate the costs associated only with the performance resources that their applications will actually use. The advantage is also flexibility and scalability, where companies can easily and almost control the performance according to current needs. In addition, companies can start using the service practically within 24 hours of ordering without having to wait for the hardware to be delivered. Everything is accompanied by technical support available 24/7 and transparent pricing conditions. More here: https://t-business.cz/cs/business-cloud/.
