T-Mobile in Q3 2025: Innovation, investment and rising data consumption

T-Mobile presents its Q3 2025 financial results, reflecting the impact of customer-focused innovations, significant investments and growing demand for data services. Year-on-year, the customer base increased by 1.8 % to 6.63 million. Mobile data consumption rose by 19 % and total revenues grew by 2.7 %. The number of SMS sent fell by 5.2 % in Q3, while profitability remained stable, with year-on-year growth of 8.9 %.

T-Mobile continues to make substantial investments in its network and innovation development. This year, the company focused intensively on making AI accessible to its customers – after Perplexity Pro, it launched its own artificial intelligence, Magenta AI, free of charge in the My T-Mobile app in July. It subsequently integrated AI assistant into its new 5G devices: the T Phone 3 and T Tablet 2. Investments also include a second “MEC“ – a multifunctional space that combines modern technologies, education and entertainment, opened in August in Brno, the Czech Republic’s second-largest city.

“Even as the year draws to a close, we are not slowing down and are preparing innovations and offers with the full focus on our customer. Massive infrastructure investments continue – including network modernisation and new technologies for the first nine months of this year the investment volume only to infrastructure reached CZK 2.4 billion, and by year-end we expect an additional investment of roughly CZK 2 billion. We are also focusing on expanding our fiber-optic infrastructure and connections, where high-speed internet coverage is currently available to almost 1.3 million households, and mobile 5G signal coverage reached 97.79 % at end-October according to CTÚ statistics,” said Melinda Szabó, CEO of T-Mobile Czech Republic and Slovak Telekom.

Data usage is growing across all segments

Through Magenta Moments, the operator again delivered a range of benefits to all customers – including discounted tickets to the Colours of Ostrava music festival. On-site they again relied on stable high-speed 5G connectivity, which pushed data consumption to its peak, enabling full enjoyment of the moments among each other (MeziSvými). This year, the operator also introduced a sustainability incentive – CZK 1,000 discount on a new phone in exchange for an old device at recycling. For young people, it offered Netflix at a discounted rate and fixed internet service for new subscribers at CZK 299 for six months plus a bonus CZK 5,000 for new hardware. The MAGENTA TV offering was extended to include CANAL+, dedicated Kids section and Cinema. Among the first, the operator also made RCS (Rich Communication Services) available on iPhones.

The operator was also active in B2B, where demand for high-speed connectivity and data consumption is strong. Thanks to its 5G network, for example, Tawesco is testing its Smart Factory in the city of Kopřivnice. Brno Military Hospital became the first hospital in the Czech Republic to launch a full-scale private 5G SA network from T-Mobile, becoming a pioneer in combining advanced healthcare with digitalisation.

Education is the foundation of responsible approach

Traditionally, the operator emphasises responsible behaviour online and actively educates across multiple areas. In addition to regular training for employees via internal and external courses, it also focuses on public education. The emphasis is on safety, and also on prevention – currently on crime targeted at seniors. Another group focus – common across Deutsche Telekom – is supporting Gen Z in digital protection. The operator also addresses important social issues, such as hate speech. Each year, young LGBT+ individuals face hate speech on a daily basis; therefore, the operator cooperates with poradna “sbarvouven.cz”. It also works with the Czech Red Cross, with August’s “Dej odběr” campaign encouraging blood donation in cooperation with influencers.
