Prague, 12 May 2006 - As of 11 May, the popular Caller Tunes service, which was introduced by T-Mobile as the first operator in the Czech Republic to do so, offers a nice new feature. T-Mobile customers can now set up different caller tunes for different callers or caller groups. Previously, it was only possible to set up a single melody for all incoming calls. To personalize their caller tunes, the customers only have to visit t-zones on WAP, which allows them to conveniently set up favourite melodies. Caller tunes are now much more fun - T-Mobile customers can surprise different callers with different melodies. For lovers of classical music, for example, waiting for a call to be picked up will definitely be more pleasant if they can listen to Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" rather than the latest hit by Limp Bizkit. In total, 99 different caller tunes can be activated.
On t-zones WAP, under Music and Ringtones/Caller Tunes, customers can select caller tunes and assign them to one or more phone numbers. Also, it is possible to divide callers into groups and set up a caller tune for the group as a whole. And if any caller changes his or her musical taste, or if the customer has not made the right choice, caller tunes may be changed again via WAP. Personalization of caller tunes can now only be done through WAP; in the next few months, the service will also be available through a web interface.
The activation of a caller tune costs CZK 15 incl. VAT. The same amount is to be paid for the monthly fee, irrespective of the number of the activated caller tunes.
The Caller Tunes service is currently used by more than 300,000 T-Mobile customers. The offer of melodies, which play in the phone instead of the standard ring tone, is continuously growing. At the moment, more than 2,300 melodies are available. Everyone can choose from nine categories (soundtracks, rock, pop, Czech and Slovak hits, sound effects and messages, etc.). The most popular tunes include hit songs from the t-music chart - at the moment, customers most often download "Tabácek" by Chinaski (Haló, kdo je tam...), "This Love" (Maroon 5) and "You're Beautiful" (James Blunt).
