â?śOur aim is to make the choice of presents easier for adults and help children (but not only them) fulfil their Christmas dreams. With our Santa Claus Line we want to make children happy at Christmas time. All they have to do is to borrow their parentsâ?? mobile phones for a while and their Christmas wishes will be heard,â?ś says JiĹ?í Hájek, RadioMobil spokesman.
After dialling 0603 12 24 12, the caller will hear Santa Claus who will sing a Christmas carol and promise to convey the wish to the person whom it is intended and who can fulfil it. The caller will then tell Santa Claus his or her wish and hang up. In thirty minutes, an SMS message from Santa Claus will be delivered to the same phone. The phone owner will be asked to call 0603 12 25 12 from the same phone. On this number, the caller will again be welcomed by Santa Claus who will tell him or her that some of his relatives or friends has left a message with a Christmas wish for him. Then the caller just hangs up and can set out for Christmas shopping.
The Santa Claus Line is based on the mailbox principle. Individual mailboxes are identified by the callerâ??s phone number and are mutually uninterchangeable. Each phone has one mailbox and has not access to any other one. An unlimited number of messages can be saved in the box. Maximum length of one message is 3 minutes. The messages can be listened to repeatedly, deleted or the user can have the next message replayed. The mailbox contains the messages in chronological order, from the oldest to the newest one.
The service is accessible for clients of all three national operators and will operate until 10 January 2002. Calls to both numbers are charged as standard calls to Paegas network numbers. Incoming SMS messages are free of charge.
