- New service at a favourable rate - night calls within the T-Mobile network for CZK 0.50/min
Prague, 28 May 2009 - According to the number of registered members, the T-Mobile Bonus loyalty program is one of our most successful customer programs. Its current version was launched one year ago and it can be joined by both contract customers and the Twist prepaid card users. It is currently being used by 2.2 million customers, who can choose two basic types of benefits - either a service at a favourable price or collecting bonus points which can than be used for purchase of goods or services. In 2008, T-Mobile customers collected more than one billion points. Beginning 1 June, T-Mobile is introducing new offers and features to the program. We are launching a new service at a favourable rate - night calls within the T‑Mobile network for CZK 0.50/min and introducing several changes relating to the value and validity of Bonus points and the possibilities of their use.
"Many companies are now trying to economize and are canceling their loyalty programs. The truth it is that these programs require rather significant investments, however, we are convinced that they are important for our customers' satisfaction, says Petr Dvořák, Executive Vice President Marketing at T-Mobile, adding: "The changes we are now introducing will help us carry on with the program and develop it further."
Transferring pointsBeginning 1 June, customers participating in the loyalty program can transfer collected bonus points to any T-Mobile customer. The person receiving the points does not have to be registered in the program. When using this possibility, the oldest points from the given account are transferred. Points can be transferred using the internet T-Mobile Bonus catalogue or by calling the T-Mobile Infoline.
"Customers can use this option, for example, when they want club together to purchase a really valuable item from the catalogue or when they wish to help a friend or family member to get a selected bonus earlier," explains Dvořák.
Validity and value of bonus pointsBeginning 1 June 2009, the new bonus points will be valid for 18 months. In the first stage, customers will be informed of the number of points which will expire as of 31 August and then as of 31 December; after that the expiry date will be calculated on a quarterly basis. Customers will be informed of the number of points to expire by the end of the given period sufficiently in advance.
Customers will be informed of the number of points which are going to expire on 31 August 2009 in this month's invoice. That means that they have three months to invest these points. If these points are not used by the end of the given period, they will be deleted from the customer's account.
Customers will be informed of the number of points to expire in each invoice, through the My T-Mobile application, by sending a SMS with BON S to 4603 or by calling the Customer Centre.
Beginning 1 June 2009, customers will get one bonus point for each CZK 30 excl. VAT (CZK 35.70 incl. VAT) spent on T-Mobile services.
New service at a favourable price
A bonus in the form of a service provided at a favourable rate is currently being used by more than 800,000 out of the total number of 2.2 million of the registered T-Mobile Bonus program members. The current service offered to T-Mobile Bonus members consists in the possibility of sending SMS within the T‑Mobile network at CZK 0.50 at weekends. From 1 June 2009 to 30 November, customers will be able to make night calls within the T-Mobile network at CZK 0.50/min (from 9:00 p.m. to 9.00 a.m.).
E-mail bonus point account statement
Members of the T-Mobile Bonus program can request, via the T-Mobile Infoline or the My T-Mobile service - to be sent electronic bonus points account statements. These messages are sent on a quarterly basis and contain information on the movements on the customer's bonus point account in the last quarter.
