Berlin, Germany, June 3rd 2009:  Legendary pop culture icon and award-winning singer/songwriter Donna Summer will perform in Germany for the first time as the artist for the first-ever Electronic Beats Classics event at the historic Admiralspalast on July 30th.

A five-time Grammy Award winner who has sold more than 130 million records worldwide, Donna Summer is a living legend best known for stirring her mix of rock, pop, R&B, disco and electronica out of the clubs and into the mainstream charts starting in the mid-1970s.  She is the first female artist to have a number one single and number one album on the Billboard charts at the same time and her long list of hit singles including ?Last Dance', ?On the Radio', and ?Hot Stuff', are still embraced by old and new generations today.  In 2008, Donna Summer released ?Crayons', her much anticipated album of new material, which produced three number one Billboard Club hits.

Arguably the ?Queen of Dance', Donna Summer is now set to bring adoring crowds to their feet for an exclusive show that will officially launch the new Electronic Beats Classics series of live music events.  This new format merges a classic concert location with a contemporary artist who has been and remains an iconic influencer in the music scene.  Electronic Beats Classics provides a way to connect the pioneers of the past to their relevance of the present and celebrates their significance within the music created today.  Donna Summer's influential style continues to inspire new generations and ultimately captures the spirit behind the Electronic Beats Classics concept, making her the ideal artist to headline the very first event in the series.

Opened in 1910 in the Mitte district of Berlin, the historic Admiralspalast is one of the most famous culture event and theatre locations in the city.  The venue will provide a sophisticated and unexpected atmosphere for Donna Summer's electrifying performance and therefore the perfect place to host this unforgettable concert.  Tickets for the event are now on sale.
