Internet access abroad for one day for just CZK 29

Prague, 14 April 2011 – T-Mobile has prepared yet another attractive offer for data users: in the period between 18 April and 30 September 2011, all customers travelling in the EU and selected EEA countries can take advantage of a 50% discount on the Internet v zahraničí na den (“Internet abroad for one day”) bundle with a 3MB limit, which will cost them just CZK 29 incl. VAT. With a 20MB limit, the bundle costs CZK 149 incl. VAT. 

“The Internet v zahraničí na den bundle is designed to meet the ever increasing demand for internet access during short trips abroad. We have therefore decided to make the price as attractive as possible,” says Jiří Hašek, Vice President Category & Product Management. 

The Internet v zahraničí na den bundle represents the basic method of billing data services while roaming. The fixed price makes the costs of the service transparent for users, as no other fees are charged. New customers do not have to activate the bundle, as it is set up automatically, and they can easily start surfing. Existing clients can activate the bundle using one of the standard methods – by sending an activation SMS, calling the infoline, visiting a T-Mobile shop or online by logging into My T‑Mobile. 

The fee for the one-day roaming bundle is split into two levels depending on the volume of data transferred. Customers consuming a maximum of 3MB of data will pay just CZK 29 incl. VAT (instead of the standard price of CZK 60 incl. VAT). This volume is sufficient for checking e-mails or visiting favourite websites. Customers who exceed the 3MB limit will be charged CZK 149 for the one-day bundle (the standard price is CZK 240 incl. VAT); the total data allowance for 24 hours is 20MB. The bundle can be used throughout the European Union and in selected EEA (European Economic Area) countries. 

Customers who use the internet more extensively can purchase the Internet v zahraničí na týden (“Internet abroad for one week”) bundle, offering 50MB of data limit in the same zones for a fixed price of CZK 540 incl. VAT. 

Customers are notified of the amount of data they have used via a text message: they receive the first text message when they have used up 80% of the limit and another one when reaching 100% of the limit, when they are asked whether they wish to continue with data transfers and switch to a higher-level bundle, or whether they wish to terminate the service. 

The EU and EEA include the following countries and territories: Slovakia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Austria, Romania, Greece, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Aland Islands, Azores, French Guiana, Gibraltar, Guadeloupe, Canary Islands, Madeira, Martinique and Réunion, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland.
