Prague, 18 March 2014 – One of this season's first runs will take place on Sunday, 30 March at Prague's Stromovka Park under the name of "Sportujte s námi pro dobrou věc" ("Play Sports with Us for a Good Cause"). It is being organised by T-Mobile in connection with its “For a Good Cause” challenge, which is part of the T-Mobile Fund’s activities. Three Czech Olympic athletes – cross-country skier Eva Nývltová, badminton player Petr Koukal and rower Ondřej Synek – will also take part in the event and the subsequent autograph session and photo shoot. The start fee is voluntary and the funds thus raised will be donated to the Czech Olympic Foundation to support the activities of disadvantaged children who are prevented from participating in sports due to lack of money.

"People have already reached the one-million-kilometre mark through athletic activities using the Endomondo application. Now it's our turn," says Markéta Vychytilová, Sponsoring Manager at T-Mobile. "By organising a fun, sports-related afternoon event at Stromovka Park, we want to thank everybody who took part in our challenge and present a cheque for CZK 1 million also in their name to the Czech Olympic Foundation at the event," adds Petra Pavičová, T-Mobile's Social Responsibility Manager.

Two runs are scheduled to take place within the Play Sports with Us for a Good Cause event: a standard timed five-kilometre race and a 500-metre free run for kids. Runners wishing to participate in the five-kilometre race need to register in advance on the website at www.t-mobile.cz/beh (the maximum capacity is 1,000 participants); registrations for the kids' race can be done at the venue. The five-kilometre race starts on Sunday, 30 March at 3 p.m. in front of the Šlechtovka restaurant in Prague's Stromovka Park, where the autograph session with the Olympic athletes will be held afterwards, as well as other accompanying activities (such as a concert by the band Dolls In The Factory). The three fastest runners will receive HTC handsets. Children can complete their run at any time during the entire afternoon; all of the participating children will receive a medal.

Following the awards ceremony, T-Mobile's Managing Director, Milan Vašina, will present a cheque for CZK 1 million to the representatives of the Czech Olympic Foundation. Each participant at the event will receive a symbolic award from the operator.

T-Mobile announced the challenge called For a Good Cause at the beginning of March this year. The operator pledged that if its customers and employees reached at least the one-million-kilometre mark together through any athletic activity using the Endomondo application , it would donate CZK 1 million to disadvantaged children to support their participation in sports.
