Investments in the Internet of Things (IoT) bring savings and a competitive advantage. However, internal surveys conducted by T-Mobile have revealed that small and medium-sized enterprises view IoT as complicated and costly. The operator has therefore prepared a comprehensive bundle which includes everything that is necessary and will be available for prices starting at CZK 109 excl. VAT per month. The solution contains measurement sensors, connectivity in the Sigfox IoT network and the IoT Manager cloud application, which serves for installation and management of multiple sensors. In the application, customers can view and export measured data, set up alarms and adjust device settings from basically anywhere. The operator will activate the entire bundle for each customer depending on their needs and wishes.

In the first stage, T-Mobile will start offering smart thermometers. The possibilities that come with using these devices in practice are immense. Petr Jeřábek, B2B Marketing Director at T-Mobile, says: “Measuring and monitoring temperature and humidity are important to basically everyone. We believe that the potential for autonomous solutions of this kind is huge in business. Customers can now measure the temperature also in places where this was previously too difficult or costly.” In the first stage, T-Mobile wants to approach mainly entrepreneurs engaged in the food-processing industry, industrial and warehousing operations, transportation, retail sales and agriculture.

It is a comprehensive solution powered by batteries and connected via the Sigfox network. Batteries need to be replaced only once every several years. Unlike other systems, this solution does not require insertion of a SIM card or connection to a local computer network and it operates without local control software. This significantly simplifies installation and reduces acquisition, operation and management costs. In future, T-Mobile plans to expand the portfolio of measurement sensors, incident reporting devices (fire, floods, etc.), remote utility readings and merchandise monitoring.

As part of the offer, T-Mobile has prepared an analytical ROI tool for small and medium-sized enterprises, allowing each company to easily calculate the return on their investment in IoT technologies. The offer is supported by a marketing campaign that is now being launched and will run until the middle of November.
