August T-Mobile News

  • Free voice mailbox welcome greetings for a period of two weeks
  • You can save significantly when calling within the Private Network
  • MMS can be sent to foreign friends

Prague, 5 August 2003 - T-Mobile has prepared an interesting offer for everybody who thinks about how to best greet callers to their voice mailbox. During the last two weeks in August, each customer may obtain a free amusing welcome greeting that will make communication with the voice mailbox more enjoyable. The second new offer in August is designed for business customers and it brings a significant reduction of prices within the Private Network and thus larger savings of telephone costs. The last item will be appreciated especially by MMS fans: you can send MMS not only to Czech mobile phone users but also to Slovak and Austrian mobile phone users.

Free Welcome Greetings
The offer of voice mailbox welcome greetings will be free of charge for all T-Mobile customers from 15 to 31 August 2003. Just dial 6611 and choose from the wide range of recorded greetings divided into several categories - from humorous to professional - and save one of them as your personal welcome greeting. Selecting a particular welcome greeting is very simple: upon dialing 6611 the voice system will clearly guide you. Calling the 6611 number is charged at CZK 3.15 including VAT. The Welcome Greetings service can be used by all T-Mobile customers who have an activated "standard" voice mailbox on 3311.

Private Network Is More Favourable
Since 1 August 2003, T-Mobile has significantly reduced phone charges and provided an overall transparency of rates in the case of "Private Network" and "Private Virtual Network" services. The users can thus save even more on telephone costs. Phone calls made using both services are now charged at a uniform rate of CZK 1.50/minute without regard to the tariff used. For the customers, such reduction of prices means, for example, a 62% discount in comparison with the standard rate of the T20 Start tariff, or even a 68% discount in comparison with the Partner III program. The Private Network service allowing more effective calling within a company is designed for all customers with five or more SIM cards and a tariff program. Large companies that have concluded a Key Account General Contract with T-Mobile can take advantage of the Private Virtual Network service with extended functions.

MMS to Slovak and Austrian friends
Up to now, T-Mobile customers have been able to send MMS only to friends and acquaintances who are subscribers to T-Mobile or, as the case may be, Eurotel network. Thanks to the interconnection of the MMS centers with EuroTel Bratislava and T-Mobile Austria, you can now send MMS to your Slovak and Austrian friends and customers who are subscribers to the services of the aforementioned operators. Fans of multimedia communication can also look forward to this service being extended to other foreign operators in the near future. The price for MMS sent abroad is identical with the price of MMS sent within the Czech Republic: until the end of August, customers will pay a mere CZK 2.
