'electronic betas' 2007 is starting

The follow-up to the 'electronic beats' project in 2007 - to be launched on 20 April with the 'electronic beats tower special' event at the Žižkov TV Tower
  • N.O.H.A., Ohm Square and DJ Bassline Smith will be the stars of the 'electronic beats club tour' in Prague, Brno and Ostrava throughout May

Prague, 11 April 2007:  The 'electronic beats' festival found its way to the Czech Republic last year, for the first time in history. In October 2006, a number of well-known bands were staged at Veletržní palác, including the legend of the club scene, The Prodigy. And this year will see an entire series of events held under the 'electronic beats' brand name.

The special launch of the whole series, the 'electronic beats tower special' event, will take place on 20 April at the Žižkov TV Tower. After this, the 'electronic beats club tour' will follow, taking place from 24 to 26 May in Prague, Brno and Ostrava, presenting N.O.H.A., Ohm Square, DJ Bassline Smith and others. The 'electronic beats' festival will be held in Veletržní palác this autumn. The whole 'electronic beats' project will be broadcast on the Óčko TV channel throughout the whole year. The same channel will also present several video recordings made during last year's 'electronic beats' festivals around Europe.

This year's series will be launched on 20 April at 8 p.m. with the 'electronic beats tower special' at the Žižkov TV Tower. The program will include the electronic performance MIDI LIDI, DJ Ladida and DJ Stephunk T. An afterparty to this event will take place at the nearby Palác Akropolis from 10:30 p.m., with DJs Josef Sedloň, Stephunk T. and Jan2 taking the stage.

The 'electronic beats tower special' event will have only a limited attendance due to capacity reasons - only the first 100 persons interested will be able to get tickets. Enrollments will be made by means of a promotion contest for tickets that will be presented on Radio 1 and on its webpage www.radio1.cz between 11 and 14 April. Applicants will learn a password which they will use for booking the tickets at www.electronicbeats.cz, with the maximum of two ticket bookings per person; every day will be available 25 tickets. The tickets cost CZK 350 each and the price includes food and drinks at the Žižkov TV Tower and a free access to the afterparty held at Palác Akropolis. Radio 1 will broadcast the performance of MIDI LIDI and DJ Ladida live from 20:30 to 22:30.
