Financial and Operating Results Confirm the Stability of T-Mobile

  • EBITDA increased by 39 percent year-on-year
  • Almost a quarter of the new customers chose a tariff programme

Prague, 27 August 2002 â?" In the first half-year of 2002, RadioMobil revenues increased by almost EUR 38 million year-on-year, reaching the total of EUR 325 million (CZK 10.0 billion). EBITDA was up 39 percent from EUR 109 million (CZK 3.8 billion) in 2001 to EUR 151 million (CZK 4.7 billion) this year. EBITDA margin was 46.5 percent.

â?śWe consider the first half-year of 2002 to have been another successful period in the history of our company. We are satisfied with both the financial and operating results. We acquired a number of leading companies and state institutions as customers and as of 30 June, we provided our services to 3.15 million customers,â?ť said Roland Mahler, Managing Director of the company.

There was a net increase of 300 000 thousand in customer numbers in the first six months of the year. Of this, almost 25 percent was accounted for by contract customers, compared to just 6.5 percent in the same period of last year.
