IPTV to be included in T-Mobile’s portfolio at the beginning of April

Three new T-Mobile TV plans: Basic, Standard and Premium
Free HBO for six months as a gift
Time shifting for up to 48 hours; 30-day satisfaction guarantee

T-Mobile will launch its IPTV service under the name of T-Mobile TV on 4 April 2016. Customers will be able to choose from three new plans offering 70, 100 and 130 channels, including HD-quality channels. The service also features time shifting for up to 48 hours and recording of programmes as well as a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Self-installation does not take more than a few minutes. Additionally, more discerning customers can order any of the six thematic bundles or access to the Videotéka video-on-demand service. Every customer activating T-Mobile TV by the end of June will receive a special benefit: a CZK 100 discount on the monthly fee and the basic HBO Základ bundle free of charge for six months as a gift.

“This year is for us the year of the internet and related services for households,” says Tomáš Ryšavý, Vice President Residential Segment and Product Marketing at T-Mobile, adding: “The launch of T-Mobile TV is therefore a logical step that will help us expand our offer for customers and make it even more attractive for them.”

The magenta operator’s IPTV service includes three plans: the basic Základ plan offers 70 TV channels for CZK 399/month; the Standard plan that is priced at CZK 499/month and offers 100 channels; and the Premium plan, which costs CZK 899/month and gives customers the possibility to watch up to 130 channels, of which more than 30 are in HD quality.

Customers can very easily set up the service themselves. T-Mobile TV offers a number of handy features, the most interesting being the possibility of viewing programmes up to 48 hours after the original broadcast, recording of up to 120 hours of programmes for viewing up to 30 days later and watching TV on up to four devices (one TV and three smart devices), as Mobile TV is automatically available free of charge within all T-Mobile TV plans. When activating IPTV, customers are also provided with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee: during this time limit they can withdraw from the contract and return the set-top box (particularly in the case that the customer’s internet access is not suitable for the service).

For the most discerning users, T-Mobile has six thematic bundles on offer: Rodina (“Family” priced at CZK 129/month), Sport (“Sports” priced at CZK 149/month), Zahraniční (“Foreign Channels” priced at CZK 99/month), HBO Základ (“Basic HBO” priced at CZK 249/month), HBO Komplet (“Complete HBO” priced at CZK 299/month) and Pro dospělé (“For Adults” priced at CZK 249/month). The offer will also include access to the Videotéka video-on-demand service (CZK 99/month).

As part of a special promotional offer, the operator will provide all customers activating IPTV by 30 June 2016 with a CZK 100 discount on the monthly fee for the entire contract term, plus the basic HBO Základ bundle, including access to HBO GO, free of charge for six months as a gift.

The operator’s IPTV service requires stable and unlimited internet access with minimum speed of 5 Mbps. T-Mobile offers two fixed-line internet plans (Standard and Premium); however, the service can be used with any suitable internet access from any provider.

When signing a fixed-term contract, customers can purchase a set-top box against a down-payment of CZK 1 and 23 monthly instalments of CZK 100. Without a contract, a set-top box costs CZK 2,999.
