Prague, 29 January 2007 The results are in for the second big contest of the www.jaXmobilem.cz web portal. An expert jury selected the three best contributions on the topic "What does a mobile phone mean to me", while all 300 finalists will receive a T-shirt with an illustration by the cartoonist Stepan Mares.

The contest, which was not limited to T-Mobile customers but open to all mobile phone users, was announced on 30 October 2006. Contestants had to send to www.jaXmobilem.cz their answers, not longer than 800 characters, to the question "What does the mobile phone mean to me". Altogether 1570 contributions were delivered by the closing date.

"People were very enthusiastic about expressing their relationship with their mobile phones; the number of contributions was positively surprising," says Martina Kemrova, T-Mobile`s Head of Corporate Communication and a member of the expert jury which also included Jitka Chocova, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at T-Mobile, David Polesny, editor-in-chief of www.mobilmania.cz, Michal Hron, editor of www.mobil.cz, and the cartoonist Stepan Mares.

The contest on the topic "What does a mobile phone mean to me" was preceded by a similar contest which took place last spring. The contestants were asked to describe the biggest blunder they had ever made with a mobile phone. As a result of the contest, the general public was introduced to T-Mobile`s mobile-etiquette project and its website www.jaXmobilem.cz. "The website has become very popular with the public. We all know how to phone and send SMS, but we also need to learn how to use the handset correctly in the public," says Martina Kemrova. Over 51,332 individuals have visited the www.jaXmobilem.cz website since its launch. In addition to the autumn contest on the topic "What does the mobile phone mean to me", the topic of mobile phone recycling was added to the website.

The project is part of T-Mobile's program of corporate social responsibility that also includes, for example, the T-Mobile Fund which is intended to support local initiatives in the regions where T-Mobile has its offices. Furthermore, T-Mobile organizes an annual charity auction and a volunteer program for its employees, supports waste recycling on its premises and is the first mobile operator in the market to have enabled customers to hand in their old handsets at Retail Shops for the purpose of ecological disposal.
