Special top-up offers on Facebook bring double the topped-up credit
New website version for mobile phones and tablets
More than 10,000 customers use the self-service application

Prague, 12 August 2014 – In the ten months since its launch, the Kaktus ("Cactus") brand has attracted 50,000 customers, who most highly value free access to the Facebook social network, billing of seconds they actually spend calling and customer care available directly on Facebook. Within special top-up offers, Kaktus has provided its users with free credit worth more than CZK 400,000.

"We are pleased by Kaktus’s growing popularity. We signed up our 50,000th customer at the beginning of August. Our special top-up offers have gained major popularity among our customers, as they receive double the amount of credit that they top up," says Michal Podlucký, Kaktus Brand Manager.

Customer care is provided to Kaktus’s customers exclusively via the Facebook social network. Kaktus is continuing to develop its operation and is planning to offer additional improvements. It looks for inspiration mainly with the 19,000 customers who approach it on Facebook with requests for various refinements – for example, Kaktus will soon introduce automatic extension of bundles offering cheaper calling minutes, text messages and data. Based on suggestions from smartphone and tablet users, the brand has also prepared a mobile version of its website.

Kaktus’s calling rates start at CZK 1.50 (with an activated bundle); under the basic plan, one calling minute is charged at CZK 2.50. A large number of customers use Facebook, which is not counted in data usage. The Kaktus smartphone application is used by 10,134 customers.

About Kaktus
Kaktus is a mobile operator intended for young people and it likes to do things its own way. It decided to distinguish itself primarily by providing friendly customer care on Facebook and offering data services under attractive conditions. It offers free Facebook access to its customers and listens to their wishes communicated via this social network: for example, it organised a gathering of fans called Coffee with Kaktus. One of the outcomes of the gathering was a data bundle aimed at moderately discerning users.

Unlike other operators, Kaktus provides its services mainly to internet users and communicates with them informally, the Kaktus way.
