Magenta 1: The more services, the more benefits

Magenta 1 brings a number of benefits when multiple services are combined under one contract
Unlimited calls and text messages within a group, extra data, reduced prices of services, improvements of T-Mobile TV and priority handling ont the info line
All that is required for customers to register in Magenta 1 is to have any two services activated for the minimum price of CZK 399

T-Mobile has launched Magenta 1, a new service that offers benefits to customers who combine mobile and/or fixed-line services under one contract. The benefits are scaled based on the number of services used; customers can, for example, obtain free calls and text messages within their group, extra data, discounted prices, improvements of T-Mobile TV and priority handling on the info line.

Magenta 1 is available to all non-business customers who combine two and more services from T-Mobile under one contract (identified by the customer’s birth registration number), the minimum monthly fee of which is CZK 399. It does not matter whether these are mobile or fixed-line services, TV, Smart Car or the prepaid Twist service. The more services combined under the contract, the greater the range of the benefits available to the customer. The benefits associated with unlimited calls and text messages can therefore be used by up to nine mobile numbers including Twist SIM cards.

“T-Mobile is an integrated operator that can offer its customers solutions for the entire household. Combining all services and products under Magenta 1 will save customers time and money and will offer them attractive benefits,” explains Juraj Bóna, Vice President B2C Marketing and Product Management at T-Mobile, adding: “According to a survey conducted among our customers, unlimited calls and text messages within a magenta group are the most sought-after benefit and therefore they are part of all levels of Magenta 1. We are going to gradually expand the offer of benefits.”

Customers can sign up for the Magenta 1 service at T-Mobile shops across the Czech Republic or by calling the operator’s info line. The complete Magenta 1 offer can be found at www.t-mobile.cz/magenta.

EXAMPLES OF USE

1) Ordinary family – husband + wife, two children
The father, Jiří, is often away travelling and needs to be online at all times; the mother, Kamila, prefers calling and communication via social networks. He uses Mobil L, she has Mobil S. Their two children (Sabina and Dominik, if anyone is interested) use prepaid Twist cards. At home, they have T-Mobile TV and Pevný internet (“Fixed-Line Internet”). Overall, the family uses four services that comply with the Magenta 1 criteria and are eligible for the respective benefits: they can all call each other and send text messages without any limitations and also share an extra 10 GB portion of data. They can install free antivirus protection on their home computer and use the T-Mobile TV feature of time-shifting for up to seven days. Moreover, the parents can keep tabs on their children by means of the Surfie application, which helps parents protect their children against inappropriate content on the internet and social networks and includes a location tracking feature. When they add the kids’ grandparents’ phone numbers to their group, they will also call them free of charge. At the same time, they will receive a 20% discount on all four services with a monthly fee of CZK 399 or more.

2) Lone IT wolf, elderly parents
Karel the IT guy lives alone in a city, his retired parents in a village. He cannot imagine his life without technologies and uses them to the fullest: he has an activated Mobil XL on his mobile phone, fixed-line internet at home and he travels exclusively with with Chytré auto s WiFi (“Smart Car with Wi-Fi”). To ensure that his small-town parents are online and are not bored, he got them Pevný internet (“Fixed-Line Internet”) and Satelitní TV ("Satellite TV") from T-Mobile. Since they spend most of their time at home or in the garden, mobile phones with prepaid Twist cards are sufficient for them.
Overall, the IT wolf uses five services that meet the Magenta 1 criteria; therefore he and his parents can call and send text messages to one another without limitations. On top of that, he receives an extra 15 GB portion of data and his parents can time-shift TV programmes for up to seven days so they will not miss any episode of their favourite series or Jaromír Soukup’s Aréna talk show. When his parents need assistance with any service on their mobile phones, they can call the T-Mobile info line and, thanks to priority handling, they will not have to wait to be connected with an operator. At the same time, Karel gets a 25% discount on all five ordered services with a monthly fee of more than CZK 399.
