Significant improvement of the popular t-music.cz music portal

  • More than one million tracks from 85,000 albums by 80,000 artists, and over 20,000 mobile ringtones and 5,000 caller tunes newly added.
  • Blogs of popular musicians, daily updated editorials, user profiles with playlists, video channels and interesting links.

Prague, 30 October 2008 - t-music.cz, one of the most popular music portals in the Czech Republic, has recently undergone significant changes. In addition to an improved interface, visitors can also access - and expand - an extensive catalogue of artists. Other new features include, for example, the possibility to create user profiles including lists of favorite songs, video channels, blogs and other community features. The already broad selection of tracks to purchase or download has been further extended and joined to other music content. The database thus includes more than one million tracks and thousands of ringtones and caller tunes.

"Although t-music has enjoyed long-term popularity, we definitely do not want to rest on our laurels. That is why we have extended the portal with features which will get people more involved. When visiting the new version of our portal, users will feel as if they are at a huge virtual music festival," says Michal Němec, director of mobile services portals at T-Mobile.

The new catalogue of artists is based on the original offer of the t-music play! music shop and newly includes also more than 5,000 full-length tracks by 1,700 local artists from the stage.cz partner server and all content for mobile phones offered at t-zones.cz. The result is a unique music database with the largest offer available in the Czech market with more than one million tracks from about 85,000 albums by more 80,000 artists and around 20,000 mobile ringtones and 5,000 caller tunes.

For selected artists, the catalogue also includes profile information including biographical data, photos, videos, interesting links, news and reviews. Given the huge number of artists and variety of styles included in the catalogue, the t-music team is not able to provide the details in all profiles. Therefore we invite you - Czech and Slovak music fans - to take part in this project and help broaden horizons for everybody. Registered users may add any information on their favorite artists and upload photos, videos and other relevant content in the artist profiles. The twenty most productive fans each month will receive gift packages with music, concert tickets, T-shirts and other presents. All others can take part in our competitions and win CDs, free downloads or tickets to concerts by international and local stars.

The new t-music is more than just a colorful music catalogue. A significant improvement is the integration of community functions, allowing registered users to create and share their own music profiles. Everyone can complete their profile with detailed information on themselves and their musical taste, create lists of favorite tracks and add links or videos. Users can send messages to each other or publicly comment on events in their profiles. They can also start writing blogs on music-related and other topics. The most talented fans can break through as official regular contributors to t-music.

t-music will also host blogs by some renowned Czech musicians and journalists. Regular contributors will include Clou's Rae, Joshua from 100°C and Poeta from Rádio Spin. In addition, an original daily updated editorial offering commentary on the current happenings on the music scene will keep visitors in the know.

The t-music Chart will continue to be part of the new version of the portal. Visitors will be able to play full‑length versions of the competing videos in even better quality with a higher definition thanks to the integration of a modern media player.
