T-Mobile Bonus card

  • Customers will receive Bonus points for paying with the TMobile Bonus card
  • Komerční banka will offer to all clients who use the T-Mobile Bonus card a 76-day grace period

Prague, 20 May 2008 - The mobile telecommunications operator T-Mobile and Komerční banka have jointly introduced a product that is exceptional in the Czech credit-card market: the T-Mobile Bonus card, which new product is intended for T-Mobile contract customers and is linked to the T-Mobile Bonus loyalty program. Its many advantages also include the absolutely longest interest-free period in the Czech market.

The card is related to the T-Mobile Bonus loyalty program, whose members collect points for mobile communications services provided by T-Mobile or use the operator's special offers. From now on, customers will also receive Bonus points for paying with the T-Mobile Bonus card at shops. Customers will receive Bonus points for payments made with the card regardless of which benefit they have selected within the T-Mobile Bonus program. In addition, they will also receive extra points with their first use of the card.

"The improved T-Mobile Bonus loyalty program, introduced by T-Mobile this February, met with a very positive reception from our clients. I believe that the newly introduced T-Mobile Bonus card will become another good reason for people to stay loyal to T-Mobile," says Executive Vice President Marketing Petr Dvořák of T-Mobile.

The more customers use their card, the more points they collect and the faster they get their rewards from the T-Mobile Bonus catalogue. They may then choose, for example, a new handset, extra free minutes, text messages or MMS, discount vouchers and other gifts. In addition to this, customers receive an instant discount when paying with the card at certain business partners of T-Mobile, selected on the basis of customers' preferences; the Alpine Pro sportswear retailer is the first such partner.

The credit card offers unique features in the Czech market. "Komerční banka will offer to all clients who use the T-Mobile Bonus card a 76-day grace period, which is unprecedented in the Czech market. This grace period relates to payments with the card as well as to cash drafts from ATMs, which is again very exceptional here," says Executive Director Marketing and Business Development Zdeněk Mojžíšek of Komerční banka.

In addition to standard payments in shops, drafts from ATMs and internet payment orders, each holder of the T-Mobile Bonus card can also transfer funds to a standard bank account and use the money in the same way as if he borrowed it using a standard bank loan.

The high security of the credit card is guaranteed by notification text messages sent to the card holder immediately after each transaction. Each T-Mobile Bonus card is insured against the holder's failure to pay back overdrafts and interest. The issuance, activation and administration of the credit card are completely free of charge.
